Neil Young reunites Buffalo Springfield for Bridge School Benefit

Told ya last month about Pearl Jam marking their 20th Anniversary by playing at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit concerts this fall….and now, the full artist lineup has been announced.

The BIG news is that Neil is reforming Buffalo Springfield for the event; it will be the first time they’ve played publicly since 1968 (they played privately at Stephen Stills’ house back in 1986). Neil, Stills and Richie Furay will team up for the benefit - bassist Dave Palmer died in 2004 and drummer Dewey Martin died last year. There’s no word on who will fill those slots, or if the band will perform as an acoustic trio.

Buffalo Springfield were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1997.

The concerts are a benefit for the Bridge School, which develops and uses advanced technologies to aid in the instruction of children with disabilities. Young's involvement stems, at least partially, from the fact that both of his sons have cerebral palsy and his daughter, like Young himself, has epilepsy.

The 24th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert will take place on October 23, 2010 at 5pm and October 24, 2010 at 2pm.
