Sammy Hagar is out promoting his second attempt at an autobiography, “Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock,” and stopped by The Tonight Show for an interview and surprise jam with the house band.

Rocker James Durbin continues to soar on American Idol, and he rocked “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting” on this week’s Elton-themed show.

Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top says the band will have a new album out by the end of the year was #5 this week, and Hagar’s comments that Charlie Sheen reminds him of a 2004 Eddie Van Halen continues to make headlines on Sammy’s book tour.

Other big stories included the ongoing Van Halen album/tour rumors, something kinda interesting with the cover design of the new Cars album, some new VH guitars are now on the market and Ted Nugent has announced a bunch of US dates for the summer.
