Motley Crue, Poison top the hennemusic Hot 10 for 2nd week

The Motley Crue/Poison summer tour is still front and center for rock fans, as it comes in at #1 for the second week in a row on the hennemusic Hot 10.

The tour kicks off June 7 in Dallas.

The HH10 is a list of the most-viewed rock news stories in the past week by hennemusic readers.

A couple of recent stories remain active on the HH10, including new music from ex-Journey singer Steve Perry, and the rumors about the new Van Halen studio/album/tour cycle.

Speaking of VH...Sammy Hagar is stirring up some headlines this week, in advance of the release of his autobiography, “Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock.” The hottest parts of Hagar’s book have to be in the Van Halen section, and the dirt on Eddie Van Halen is starting to hit the press.

According to Steven Tyler, he and Joe Perry are back on track and ready to rock, so the Aerosmith train will keep on-a rollin' in 2011. Preparations for Monday night’s induction ceremony at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame include footage of Alice Cooper’s band rehearsing for their big night.

Other top stories of the week included the always-innovative Jack White, American Idol rocker James Durbin, a movie role for Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, and the live debut of new music from Journey, in advance of the release of “Eclipse.”
