VIDEO: Megadeth backstage at Jimmy Kimmel

Megadeth killed it on Jimmy Kimmel’s show Monday, as the band rocked out in full Halloween attire.

The guys stepped up as Frankenstein, the Wolfman, the Phantom Of The Opera and Dracula to play the new single, “Public Enemy No. 1,” from the “TH1RT3EN” release, available this week.

MegadethTV has offered up some cool backstage footage of bassist David Ellefson and drummer Shawn Drover getting their makeup together before hitting the stage.

“This is a first for us,”
said Drover aka Dracula. “27 years, never been on TV dressed like a monster.”

The guys also closed the show with their classic, “Symphony Of Destruction” – check out that performance here.

This week, Megadeth announced dates for their 2012 Gigantour festival, making its return for the first time since 2008. The bill includes Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil, all personally picked by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine.

The month-long tour kicks off January 26 in Camden, NJ, and wraps February 28 in Denver, CO, playing shows across the US and Canada. Check out dates and details here.
