VIDEO: Neil Young duets with Axl Rose at Bridge School Benefit

Neil Young joined Guns N’ Roses for one of his classic tunes on day two of the 26th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert.

On Sunday, Guns N’ Roses welcomed their host to the stage for a version of “Don’t Let It Bring You Down,” a track from Young’s 1970 album, “After The Gold Rush.”

When the performance was finished, Axl stepped to the mic and said, “This song has always given me hope over the years, so we asked Neil if we could do it.”

Young organizes the annual acoustic-based show, which raises funds for the Bridge School, a facility that develops and uses advanced technologies to aid in the instruction of children with disabilities; it was founded in 1986 by Pegi Young and Jim Forderer with help from Dr. Marilyn Buzolich. The first benefit concert, in 1986, raised the money necessary to start the school, which opened in ’87.

At the end of the month, Guns N’ Roses kick off their “Appetite For Democracy” residency at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where the band will play 12 shows between October 31 and November 24.

“Appetite For Democracy” will span the band’s biggest hits from their debut album “Appetite For Destruction” (1987) through to “Chinese Democracy” (2008).

Exact details about the show are being kept under wraps but fans can expect the raw and gritty heavy metal Guns N’ Roses is known for… along with a few surprise elements.
