Iron Maiden have launched an online store for fans to purchase Trooper Beer merchandise, with everything from t-shirts to pint cups, coasters, bottle opener keyrings and more now available.
The band teamed up with UK brewers Robinsons to create the beverage, named after one of Maiden’s most popular songs, “The Trooper,” from 1983’s “Piece Of Mind.”
Trooper Beer was a success before it even hit the market: the product experienced record sales in advance of its official launch last month, with Robinsons having to work a six-day week to keep up with demand.
Over a quarter of a million pints were pre-sold in the UK alone, and more than 100 countries had applied to stock Trooper beer.
Demand was so high that Robinsons had to brew three batches a day for the first time in their 175-year history.
“We haven’t spent a single penny on advertising,” said David Bremner of Robinsons. “This is history in the making for brewing.”
