Alex Van Halen will be honored at Nashville Drummers Jam 7.

The annual charity event - organized by David Parks and Tom Hurst – will see Nashville’s finest musicians team up to perform Van Halen tunes while paying tribute to the band’s drummer and co-founder.

“It’s an honor to be chosen for the Nashville Drummers Jam number 7,” says Alex. “Thank you. Have a great time with it. I want to hear you on the West Coast, alright.”

The Van Halen tribute takes place at The Exit Inn in Nashville on December 14.

Previous honorees include Stewart Copeland of The Police, Neil Peart of Rush, John Bonham, and Jeff Porcaro, among others.

Alex and Van Halen closed out their 2015 North American tour with David Lee Roth over two shows at the Hollywood Bowl last month.

The group were touring in support of their latest release, “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert.”
