Scorpions issue Happy Holidays video

The Scorpions have issued a Happy Holidays video message for fans as 2015 winds down.

“We’d like to say thank you to all of you,” says singer Klaus Meine. “It’s been an amazing year. It’s been fantastic to celebrate our 50th anniversary with all of you all over the world.

“I don’t want to leave anyone out; I know we haven’t been everywhere but we are still working on it and, for all the places we left out this year, we’re ready to rock next year.

“So thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we are wishing you Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas and all the best and a peaceful 2016.”

The German rockers released their 17th album, “Return To Forever”, in March and launched a 50th anniversary tour in China in May before multiple visits to Europe and North America.

In November, the group issued expanded versions of eight of their classic albums as part of a 50th Anniversary Deluxe Editions series.

The Scorpions placed six of the eight expanded reissues on the German album charts, making them just the fifth music act to do so following The Beatles, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and James Last.

The band will continue the 50th anniversary trek in 2016 with shows starting February 17 in Odessa, Ukraine.
