VIDEO: Scorpions release 1986 Monsters Of Rock performance

The Scorpions have issued a vintage performance of "Big City Nights" from the 1986 Monsters Of Rock festival in Nurnberg, Germany.

The footage is featured in the recently released expanded reissue of 1984’s “Love At First Sting”, one of 8 projects in their 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition series.

Playing on the same bill as Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and the Michael Schenker Group, the Scorpions are sharing the performance on one of two bonus discs in the expanded package, alongside other promotional videos and material from a 1984 concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The German group’s ninth alb8um, “Love At First Sting”, became the group's most successful album in the US, where it peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1984 and went double-platinum by the end of the year, eventually reaching triple-platinum status in 1995.

The set was led by the US Top 25 hit, “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, and follow-up singles “Still Loving You” and “Big City Nights.”

The Scorpions will return to live action in the New Year with shows beginning February 17 in Odessa, Ukraine.
