Scorpions announce Las Vegas residency

The Scorpions have announced dates for a Las Vegas residency this spring.

Billed as “Blacked Out In Vegas”, the German rockers will play a five-night run in May at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where they’ll be joined by special guests Queensryche.

“We're looking very much forward to seeing all of you in Vegas in May,” says singer Klaus Meine. “Are you ready to be Blacked Out? We can't wait to come back for our first ever five-show limited engagement and to rock The Joint again and again.”

The event’s theme is based on the title track to the group’s 1982 album, “Blackout”, which delivered the classic tune “No One Like You”, among others.

Scorpions performances are scheduled for May 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 15 at 10 AM.

A pre-sale for Scorpions fan club members begins Monday, January 11 at 10 AM at this location.

The band will continue their 50th anniversary tour in 2016 with shows starting February 17 in Odessa, Ukraine.

The Scorpions released their 17th album, “Return To Forever”, last March and launched a 50th anniversary tour in China in May before multiple visits to Europe and North America.

In November, the group issued expanded versions of eight of their classic albums as part of a 50th Anniversary Deluxe Editions series.
