Stone Temple Pilots debut Fare Thee Well video

Stone Temple Pilots are debuting a video for “Fare Thee Well”, the lead single from their forthcoming acoustic album, “Perdida.”

Directed by P.R. Brown (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Prince), the black-and-white clip arrives ahead of the February 7 release of the band’s eighth studio project.

Stone Temple Pilots recorded the set at drummer Eric Kretz's Bomb Shelter Studios, utilizing a variety of instruments that haven't been associated with the group in the past, including flute, alto saxophone, guitarrón, viola, cello and vintage keyboards.

The spirit of the sessions led to “Perdida” (Spanish for ‘loss’).

“They really capture the emotional journey that takes place on this album,” says singer Jeff Gutt. “It starts with saying goodbye on ‘Fare Thee Well’ and ends with a new beginning on ‘Sunburst.’ It’s a melancholy record, but it ends on a hopeful note.”

Stone Temple Pilots will launch “An Evening With” acoustic tour in Vancouver, BC on February 5.
