Billy Idol to launch debut album reissue with Twitch livestream event

Billy Idol will launch the expanded reissue of his self-titled 1982 album this week with a Twitch livestream event on July 26.

Idol will join his longtime collaborator and lead guitarist of over forty years, Steve Stevens, for a one-of-a-kind acoustic performance and Q&A session in Los Angeles.

Produced by Universal Music Group’s °1824 and 3point5 divisions, the event promises to delve into the iconic album's history and significance in the early '80s music scene with stripped-down songs, exclusive footage, and lively discussion with Matt Pinfield of MTV 120 Minutes fame.

Due July 28, the 2023 edition of “Billy Idol” will be available as a 2CD package that includes the original 11-track album, plus the recently unearthed, previously-unreleased 12 minute Clubland Remix of “White Wedding”, and an entire unreleased concert from August 12, 1982 at The Roxy in West Hollywood, CA.

The special Twitch livestream event will start on Wednesday, July 26 at 6pm PT/9pm ET; fans can tune in via 3point5, UMG's Twitch Channel, here.
