Danko Jones slams Lou Reed & Metallica project

Now that the forthcoming Lou Reed and Metallica album, “Lulu,” is available for streaming, fans and fellow rockers alike have the opportunity to sample the project and decide whether or not they want to weigh in on one of the strangest collaborations in recent years.

“Lulu” comes out October 31 everywhere…except North America, where it’ll be available November 1.

Toronto rocker Danko Jones is stepping into it and letting fans know where he stands on “Lulu,” with a series of tweets over the weekend, as follows:

“I'm listening to the LULU Metallica/Lou Reed album right now.”

“The Metallica/Lou Reed album is the "Ishtar" of Rock 'N' Roll.”

“The Metallica/Lou Reed album is the "Waterworld" of Rock N' Roll.”

“The Metallica/Lou Reed album is the "Battlefield Earth" of Rock N' Roll.”

“Good Morning! Heard Metallica/Lou Reed album last night. Metallica collection now for sale. Tweet your $$$.”

Danko Jones launch a European Tour in Finland on November 17.
