Dave Grohl is making the rounds promoting his directorial debut, Sound City.
The film, which premiered last week at Sundance, chronicles the story of the Van Nuys, California studio of the same name, where music legends recorded major projects throughout the years – including Nirvana’s 1991 smash, “Nevermind.”
Grohl has issued “From Can To Can’t” as the new single from the forthcoming soundtrack; the tune features Slipknot/Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor on lead vocals, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen on guitar, and Kyuss’ Scott Reeder on bass.
Last week, Grohl and Taylor stopped by KROQ Los Angeles to plug the track and film by sitting in on the morning radio program "The Kevin & Bean Show".
A series of one-night only theatrical screenings for Sound City will hit theaters starting January 31; for a full list of screenings, click here.
