Finalists for the 16th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2025 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 24.

Rock News Story Of The Year No. 9: BILLY IDOL
In February, Billy Idol released “Still Dancing” as the lead single from his then-newly-announced album, “Dream Into It.”
“‘Still Dancing’ is really a reflection of my whole journey,” explains Idol. “From the punk rock period through to now. And I’m still looking towards the future, still living the life I set out to live.”
“Dream Into It” features guest appearances by Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne and Alison Mosshart of the Kills.
