VIDEO: Experience Hendrix rocks Bob Dylan classic on Lopez Tonight

The 2011 edition of the Experience Hendrix concert tour launches May 20 with an all-star lineup of musical greats paying homage to the genius of Jimi Hendrix.

This year's tour will include performances by Billy Cox, Steve Vai, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David Hidalgo & Cesar Rosas (Los Lobos), Keb’ Mo, Eric Johnson, North Mississippi All Stars, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Living Colour, Ernie Isley, Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble), Indigenous and many additional special guests to be announced.

To help promote the tour, the Experience Hendrix crew appeared Monday on Lopez Tonight for a performance of Jimi’s classic cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower.”

The lineup includes Jonny Lang, Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, Chris Layton (SRV & Double Trouble), Scott Nelson (Kenny Wayne Shepherd), Mato Nanji (Indigenous) and Chuck Campbell (The Campbell Brothers).

Santana covers Howlin’ Wolf

We’ve been giving you a “sneak peek” at Santana’s “Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics Of All Time,” all day today at hennemusic.

The new disc is in stores tomorrow, but we’ve been previewing a new track at the top of each hour today, starting at 6:00 a.m. eastern.

Jonny Lang joins Santana for the final track of the standard edition of the new disc, a cover of the Howlin’ Wolf classic, “I Ain’t Superstitious.”

The deluxe edition of “Guitar Heaven” features two additional tracks and a DVD of “behind the scenes” footage from the studio, interviews with the guest vocalists on the album and the producers, as well as an extensive one-on-one interview with Carlos Santana and Clive Davis.

The “bonus” tracks are:

- “Fortunate Son” featuring Creed's Scott Stapp, originally recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival
- “Under the Bridge” featuring Andy Vargas, originally recorded by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
