Dee Snider rocks Lay It On The Line for Triumph tribute album

Dee Snider rocks “Lay It On The Line” in the latest preview of the forthcoming collection, “Magic Power: All Star Tribute To Triumph.”

Due June 6 via Round Hill Records, the record will feature a variety of rockers – including Sebastian Bach, Nancy Wilson, Joey Belladonna, Slash, and Jeff Keith – covering classic Triumph tunes.

The 15-track album also features a collection of musical firepower, including drummers Kenny Aronoff and Tommy Aldridge, and guitarists Bumblefoot, Paul Gilbert, Nita Strauss.

The project was conceived by renowned producer Mike Clink – who has produced classic recordings for Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue and Whitesnake.

First previewed with Sebastian Bach’s version of “Rock & Roll Machine”, Triumph are now sharing Snider’s take on “Lay It On The Line”, the lead single from the Canadian band’s 1979 album, “Just A Game.”

“The first time I heard this song, I was blown away,” says the Twisted Sister rocker. “There's only one Rik Emmett and TRIUMPH. I'm honored to be a part of this!”

“Magic Power: All Star Tribute To Triumph” will be available in multiple formats, including on CD with a 12 page booklet and as a double LP gatefold edition.

I thank you all! Heavy metal forever!"

Snider’s fourth solo effort was produced by Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta and features contributions from Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore (Toxic Holocaust) and Charlie Bellmore (Kingdom Of Sorrow).

Twisted Sister: Dee Snider premieres American Made video

Dee Snider is premiering a video for “American Made”, a track from his latest album, “For The Love Of Metal.”

"I was watching the Olympics and couldn't help but notice that no matter how 'at each other's throats' we all appear to be politically these days, amazingly we are all unified when it comes to our country against another,” explains Snider. “It made me realize that countries are like dysfunctional families: we may argue and fight amongst each other — you should have seen the extended Snider family Christmas this year; people literally almost came to blows on Christmas!? — but should someone dare attack any one of us, and the entire family will band together against the aggressor. This goes for all countries.

“This song is a song on unification — recognizing that there is a very important something we all share and should be proud of: where we are from."

The Twisted Sister singer's fourth solo album marks the follow-up to "We Are The Ones", which was issued in late 2016 just as the New Jersey outfit were wrapping up their 40th anniversary farewell tour.

The project was produced by Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta and features contributions from Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore (Toxic Holocaust) and Charlie Bellmore (Kingdom Of Sorrow).

Snider’s “American Made” video surfaces in sync with the release of an expanded reissue of Twisted Sister’s 1983 album, “You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll.”

The second record by the New Jersey rockers – which also served as their major label debut – delivered three singles, including "I Am (I'm Me)", "The Kids Are Back" and the title track, while expanding the group’s reach: the set reached No. 14 on the UK charts while peaking at No. 164 on the US Billboard 200.

The 2-disc 2018 reissue presents a remastered edition of the album alongside three studio bonus tracks - "One Man Woman," "Four Barrel Heart Of Love" and "Feel The Power," which previously appeared on the B-side of the “You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll” EP – and a remastered version of the 2011 package, “Live At The Marquee 1983.”

Dee Snider is streaming a lyric video for “Tomorrow’s No Concern”, the lead single from his forthcoming album, “For The Love Of Metal.”

The rocker explains what “Tomorrow’s No Concern” represents as he moves forward with new projects after decades in the New Jersey band.

“Lyrically, it's about me living for today, not in the past,” says Snider. “So many people waste their lives away remembering the 'glory days.' While I am proud of all that I've done, I'm more interested and excited about what is happening now. In the song, I urge the listener to do the same; live in the moment and don't let the past - good, bad or indifferent - or what might or might not happen in the future ever slow you down!"

VIDEO: Twisted Sister perform 1983 classic at final US concert

Twisted Sister performed their 1983 classic, “You Can’t Stop Rock 'N' Roll”, at the final US concert of their farewell tour on October 22 at Badlands Live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and professional video from the show is now available.

The title track to the group’s second album was issued as the set’s third single while the project peaked at No. 164 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 14 on the UK charts.

The South Dakota show is part of the band’s 40th anniversary farewell trek, which also saw the release of “Metal Meltdown: Twister Sister Live At The Hard Rock Casino Las Vegas.”

Directed by Brian Lockwood, the project – which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Music Video Sales chart – captures the group’s May 30, 2015 concert at the venue where they topped a bill alongside Extreme, Great White and Skid Row.

Twisted Sister will wrap up their live career with an appearance at the Metal Meeting Fest at Corina Northside in Monterrey, Mexico on November 12.

VIDEO: Twisted Sister perform hometown farewell show

Twisted Sister delivered their hometown farewell performance at Lakewood, NJ’s second annual Rock Carnival on October 1, and video from the event has surfaced.

The group’s final Tri-State area gig kicked off with “What You Don’t Know (Sure Can Hurt You)”, the opening track from their 1982 album debut, “Under The Blade”, and the 16-song set leaned heavily on the band’s first three albums, including 1984’s breakthrough “Stay Hungry.”

Twisted Sister will end their live career with two more shows on their 40th anniversary tour schedule: an October 22 stop in Sioux Falls, SD and a November 12 gig in Monterrey, Mexico.

"The best way I can describe it is it's the last five minutes of the Twisted Sister fireworks display," guitarist Jay Jay French explained earlier this year. "This is the end, and I know people are skeptical because all bands say they're retiring and then they don't. We never did, although (Snider) has retired many times. This is the first time I've said, 'Yeah, this is it.' It's been a long time. It's been over 9,000 shows, and it is time to call it a day."

Twisted Sister pay tribute to their late drummer A. J. Pero on a performance of their 1985 single, “The Price”, as featured on the newly-released live package “Metal Meltdown.”

“Tonight is a tribute to A.J. Pero,” frontman Dee Snider tells the crowd at The Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas during the May 30, 2015 concert, “and we would be remiss if we didn’t dedicate this song to his memory. Because the rock and roll business – as wonderful and glorious as it is – has got a lot of surprises, like grunge, but we continue on. So this one’s for you A.J….I know you’re listening.”

Pero passed away two months before the Las Vegas show from a heart attack while playing on tour with Adrenaline Mob.

The band brought in acclaimed
drummer Mike Portnoy
for the tribute concert, which captures his debut performance with the group.

Due July 22 and directed by Brian Lockwood (Bon Jovi, Metallica, Motley Crue), “Metal Meltdown - Featuring Twisted Sister Live At The Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas” presents the group’s complete concert, as well as Rockshow, a bonus documentary that takes fans through the band's 40-year career.

The May 30, 2015 concert with Twisted Sister, Extreme, Great White and Skid Row marked the first event in the Metal Meltdown concert series.

The show was dedicated to the honour of drummer A.J. Pero, who passed away two months earlier at the age of 55 from a heart attack while playing on tour with Adrenaline Mob; the group brought in Mike Portnoy to handle drum duties and the rocker made his Twisted Sister live debut at Metal Meltdown.

“The decision to continue performing all the summer shows in 2015, not to mention the concert that this performance celebrates, was in jeopardy over the days immediately following A.J.'s sudden death,” explains guitarist Jay Jay French. “We needed time to re-group and re-focus. Everyone was great. All the promoters of the huge European summer festivals that we were set to headline and Barry, the producer of this concert said, ‘We understand. You all (meaning the band) have to do what makes you comfortable. Whatever the band decides has to be honoured and respected.’

“In the end, I believe we did what A.J. would have wanted us to do and Mike Portnoy was a very big part of that decision in both an emotional and artistic way. This performance captured herein just two months after A.J.'s death really was about our way to help memorialize the great A.J. Pero.

“The front four (Dee, Eddie, Mark and I) have had no one but A.J. behind us since 1982. This concert has A.J.'s influence permeating through our bloodstream in ways that I will never forget and when we cut to A.J.'s drum solo on the rear projection screen, we were all emotionally overwhelmed. Not since our reunion for NY Steel in 2001 (to honour and raise money for the families of the NYC police and fire department who died on 9/11) have I been moved to tears."

“Metal Meltdown - Featuring Twisted Sister Live At The Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas” will be available on BluRay, DVD and CD.

Twisted Sister will wrap up their live career this year with a series of appearances at rock and metal festivals in Europe and Canada this summer.

Twister Sister frontman Dee Snider performed the AC/DC classic, “Highway To Hell”, during a surprise appearance at the Whisky A Go Go’s Ultimate Jam Night in Hollywood on April 26.

“People were calling me saying I should audition for AC/DC,” Snider told the crowd. “I said ‘I was too tall.’”

Event host and son Jesse Snider joined his father on the AC/DC tune, and Dee took center stage for the Twisted Sister smash “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Launched by Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright more than a year ago, the Ultimate Jam Night recently moved its weekly home from the Lucky Strike to the famed Whisky.

Other guest performers at the April 26 show included former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, former Megadeth bassist James Lomenzo, Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and Chickenfoot drummer Kenny Aronoff.

Snider and Twisted Sister will wrap up their live career this year with a series of appearances at rock and metal festivals in Europe and Canada this summer starting June 10 at Sweden Rock.

Drummer Mike Portnoy will join the group for the shows after sitting in for some 2015 dates following the passing of AJ Pero at the age of 55 from a heart attack while playing on tour with Adrenaline Mob last year.
