Bob Seger tops the hennemusic Hot 10

News of Bob Seger’s first concert tour in five years landed the Michigan rocker in the #1 position on the hennemusic Hot 10 this week.

With the tour set to start in March, fans await details regarding the exact cities and dates where Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will play; an announcement is expected shortly.

Seger, who turns 66 in May, is known for his legendary live performances at Cobo Hall over the years, and he will almost certainly play several hometown shows.

A rare, live tv appearance by metal legends Motorhead came in as the #2 most-viewed story of the week; Lemmy and crew have just launched a North American tour in support of their latest, “The World Is Yours,” due February 8.

Kirk Hammett of Metallica’s jam with Tool in Hawaii a few weeks back is still a hot item for Met’ fans, and so is the news that Van Halen are in the studio working on their first album with David Lee Roth in more than 25 years.

Other big rock news this past week included features on Guns N’ Roses, Wanda Jackson with Jack White, the Big 4 Festival announcement, Aerosmith starting writing sessions for a new album without Joe Perry, and Bret Michael’s heart surgery.
