Mick Jagger tops the hennemusic Hot 10

Mick Jagger did not disappoint with his debut performance at the Grammys, and many music fans either missed it, or wanted to see it again, as the Rolling Stones frontman’s performance tops the list of most-viewed rock stories this week on the hennemusic Hot 10.

At last weekend’s event, Jagger led a tribute to soul singer Solomon Burke, who died last year. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer opened for the Stones several times during his career comeback, late in life.

Jagger was joined by Raphael Saadiq for “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love,” a song co-written by Burke that the Stones used to kick off shows back in the band’s early years. Many people are also familiar with the song from the Blues Brothers' first movie.

Mick last appeared on a Grammy telecast in 1986, when he and the Stones appeared via satellite to receive a lifetime achievement award presented by Eric Clapton.

The HH10 is a list of the most-viewed rock news stories in the past week by hennemusic readers.

The passing of renowned guitarist Gary Moore is still on the minds of music fans, as three stories from last week continue to be must-reads for fans of the ex-Thin Lizzy player, who passed away in Spain on February 6.

Last week’s news from Australia that Van Halen concert dates have been getting locked in for an upcoming tour there, as well as speculation that the new VH album could be out before the end of summer kept that story high on the Hot 10.

Three new videos made the list this week: The Cars returned with “Blue Tip,” from their forthcoming album, “Move Like This,” due May 10; the Foo Fighters snagged Lemmy for a starring role in “White Limo,” from their “Wasting Light” disc, due April 12; and, Whitesnake are also back with a new album, “Forevermore,” due out next month – “Love Will Set You Free” is the lead video from the project.
