It’s been rumored for weeks since Vince Neil’s pal Robin Leach broke the news, and on Thursday, Motley Crue appeared briefly (hope you didn’t blink) on tape on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight to announce their Las Vegas residency in 2012.
The Crue will become the first hard rock band to sign a short-term residency at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
As Leach reported, the band will play a three-week series of three-and four-night concerts a week at the HRH starting February 3.
"We're the first hard rock band ever to have a residency [in Las Vegas],” said Vince. “There's been bands like Santana and Elton John and these kinds of acts, but for us… Motley Crue, we're all about theater and about over-the-top stage show, so it's a perfect fit for us. So we're really, really excited."
The shows will run February 3 – 19, according to the Crue’s website.
Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 AM, but fans can get tickets NOW through a pre-sale that runs to December 2 at 10 PM….for full details, check out Motley Crue’s site here.
Or, if you want to go direct, check out Ticketmaster.com and use the presale code "SIN13."
Promos for Morgan’s show say the Crue will be on the program Friday night, and if that’s the case, let’s hope it lasts longer than the 37 seconds they appeared for on Thursday.
