“I’m very grateful to have been in a band for 20 years that can still make music and still get along, and people still want to see us, and I’m stoked. Thank you for 20 years and I don’t know what else to say other than, ‘I’m grateful.’” said guitarist Mike McCready.
“Thank you for everything over the many years … I’m exhausted!” joked Eddie Vedder. “Thanks. Merry Christmas, [and] have a great next year, which is 2012. Maybe we’ll see you; maybe we won’t. Who knows? That’s the exciting part of life. I guess I’d just say to say thanks for all the love. I appreciate it … it means a lot. Thanks!”
Pearl Jam spent some time in the studio working on music for a new album release expected in 2012; they’ve already announced a series of June/July dates for a UK/European tour.
