It’s Day 14 of the “20 Days of Pearl Jam Countdown,” leading up to the release of the “Pearl Jam Twenty” film and soundtrack on September 20.

Today, the band is promoting its SiriusXM channel – Pearl Jam Radio - the only 24/7, commercial-free channel dedicated entirely to the band, with studio tracks, b-sides and rare concert recordings from the PJ vault.

PJR will play an exclusive clip of "Nothing As It Seems" from the soundtrack TODAY (Wednesday) at 5pm ET on "The All Encompassing Trip" - the live fan roundtable show exclusively on Pearl Jam Radio, SiriusXM channel 22. For more information, click here.

Basically, the promo is also a push to sell subscriptions to SiriusXM, who are offering a free 7-Day Online Trial here.

Not sure if this promo was thought all the way through: fans don’t actually need to tune into the satellite channel to hear the song, since the full soundtrack album is available for streaming, which was offered up on Day 12. From a pure marketing standpoint, it would have made more sense to do the satellite channel promo before offering up the stream, which you can hear here.

I’m sure there’s great value on PJR for fans, but this promotion is more about selling satellite radio than PJ.

There’s nothing as it seems…indeed.
