The Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland on Saturday.
The band had the honor of closing the night, and they did so with a bang: after playing a few songs from their career, the Peppers were joined by several guests for the finale – the group’s cover of the Stevie Wonder classic, “Higher Ground.”
The Peppers closed the show with an all-star jam including Slash, Faces (and Rolling Stones) guitarist Ron Wood, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and funk pioneer George Clinton.
The Peppers are currently on the road in support of their latest release, “I’m With You.”
The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will premiere on HBO on Saturday, May 5th (9:00-11:30 p.m. EST/PST).

Thank goodness Hennemusic bothered to research the name of the "Green Day singer," unlike what http://www.antimusic.com/news/12/April/ts17RHCP_Jam_With_Slash,_Ron_Wood,_George_Clinton_and_Green_Day_Singer.shtml had to say (the title listed in the URL says it all).
Antimusic's synopsis smacked of lazy journalism. Even Wikipedia could have provided the information. To list everyone by name, then finish with a lame "and Green Day singer" is an example of lazy journalism. The incongruity of the title makes me cringe. "So-and-such, so-and-such and...what's his name."
I can't speak for antiMusic, but the synopsis headline they provided for coverage of this story isn't out of line at all, or lazy, actually.
antiMusic has covered zillions of GD items, so they clearly know who the band's singer is - that isn't the point.
Creating headlines that simplify and clarify is a skill and, sometimes, that's what's needed to speak to a wide audience.
A portion of the classic rock audience that the article speaks to may not know who BJA is, but odds are very high they'd at least recognize the band's name...and that's possibly why antiMusic chose to write the headline they did.
Far from lazy, that's thinking big picture for the intended audience.
