Guns N’ Roses: Jimmy Kimmel announces Axl Rose appearance

Jimmy Kimmel has announced that Axl Rose will appear on his ABC-TV late night program on Tuesday, January 5.

Early Monday, Rose was listed as the show’s first guest for the Tuesday broadcast and, for some reason, the rocker’s name was removed from the site by mid-afternoon.

The singer is expected to reveal details of a Guns N’ Roses reunion that is rumored to headline Coachella over two weekends in April and are reportedly in talks with promoters for a 25-date stadium tour of North America this summer.

According to music industry magazine Billboard, the reunion will see Slash rejoin the band while the remainder of the lineup remains unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.

The guitarist last performed with Guns N’ Roses at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina on July 17, 1993.

Rose had some fun with all the rumors in a New Year’s Day tweet, writing: “The only thing I know "confirmed" is my LOVE of Taco Bell! Mmmmm.... Taco Bell!! Happy New Years!!”

Guns N’ Roses last live shows – with lone original member Rose – took place as part of the band’s 2014 residency at the The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
