Pearl Jam announce Apollo Theater show

Pearl Jam have announced plans to perform an intimate show at Harlem’s Apollo Theater as part of the launch of their new album, “Gigaton.”

The Seattle outfit will play the legendary venue in a special invitation-only concert for SiriusXM subscribers and Pandora listeners on Thursday, March 26.

The concert will air live nationwide on the band’s dedicated channel, SiriusXM’s Pearl Jam Radio channel 22 and, directly following the live concert, Pearl Jam Radio will broadcast and premiere “Gigaton” in North America.

"We are incredibly humbled and honored to take the stage at the legendary Apollo Theater,” says guitarist Stone Gossard. “We look forward to a memorable show to celebrate ‘Gigaton’ and the 10-year anniversary of Pearl Jam Radio at SiriusXM.

“It’s hard to understate the sacred and historical importance of the Apollo to the history of American popular music and African Americans' preeminent role in its invention. We will play this special one time show with those artists in mind."

Tickets for the Apollo Theater show will be available exclusively to SiriusXM and Pandora subscribers, with details available at pearljam.com.

Due March 27, “Gigaton” was produced by Josh Evans and the group, who will launch the set with a 16-date spring tour of North America that will begin March 18 in Toronto, ON.

The record is being previewed with the lead single, “Dance Of The Clairvoyants.”
