Clutch announce 2025 European tour

Clutch has announced dates for a 2025 tour of Europe.

Set to open in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 24, the series will see the Maryland band revisit its self-titled 1995 album in its entirety. The project saw them start to experiment more, blending more funk flavours with their stoner and blues influences, a sign of things to come.

Now, fans will have the chance to hear that record in full, as the band announce plans for an extensive European and North American tour which will see Clutch play the record in sequence and in its entirety. Production, staging, and lighting will be designed especially to enhance the vibe of this ground-breaking release. The band is excited to bring their plans for this unique show to fruition.

Released by Atlantic Records back in May 1995, the self-titled album afforded Clutch their first mainstream exposure, and spawned a trilogy of psychedelic-tinged singles still much loved by fans today: "Big News," "Spacegrass," and "Escape From The Prison Planet."

In 2025, marking its 30th anniversary, Weathermaker will release this influential stoner classic on 180-gram vinyl, with details to be announced..

Tickets go on general sale Friday, November 22 at 10 AM, local time from clutchmerch.com.

Stay tuned for news about the North American leg to come.

Clutch’s latest album is 2022’s “Sunrise At Slaughter Beach.”

Clutch expand PA Tapes live series with 2022 Nashville concert

Clutch has released a 2022 concert in Nashville, TN as the fourth package in their new live “PA Tapes” series.

The 20-song performance last fall mixes tracks from the band’s career alongside material from its latest album, “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach.”

The members of the group take turns choosing the setlist and, on this night it was singer Neil Fallon’s turn.

"Marathon Music Works is one of our favorite venues in the U.S.,” says Fallon. “The crowds there make it easy to have a good time and we certainly did just that on September 24th."

Clutch recently completed a summer North American leg of a 2023 tour in support of their thirteenth studio album.

Clutch expand PA Tapes live series with 2022 Seattle concert

Clutch has released a 2022 concert in Seattle, WA as the third package in their new live PA Tapes series.

The 20-song performance mixes tracks from the Maryland band’s extensive career alongside material from their latest album, “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach.”

The members of the group take turns choosing the setlist and, on this night – just a few weeks after the 2022 album was released – it was guitarist Tim Sult who laid out the evening’s entertainment for fans.

With his characteristic sincerity and warmth, Sult invites fans to relive the electric atmosphere of that unforgettable show, commenting, "Check out our Seattle show at the Showbox from October 10th, 2022. It was a high energy, unhinged performance with a few technical issues but we managed to pull it off successfully. I hope you enjoy the show!"

A decade on from boldly declaring, "If you're gonna do it, do it live on stage, or don't do it at all' in their acclaimed single "Earth Rocker", Clutch's PA Tapes comprise meticulously mixed and mastered live shows from around the world. Launched in February, the series will total five or six edited and mastered digital only live shows.

Clutch are launching the new package with a rare cover of the vintage Black Sabbath tune, “Lord Of This World”, from the iconic UK band’s 1971 album, “Master Of Reality.”

Having recently completed a series of European shows, Clutch will resume their No Stars Above Tour in support of “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach” with North American dates starting with the first of two nights in Washington, DC on July 20.

Clutch stream Sunrise On Slaughter Beach expanded edition

Clutch is streaming a newly-released expanded version of their latest album, “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach.”

“Coming soon! Sunrise on Slaughter Beach 7" Box Set,” shared the group on social media recently. “We call this limited release ‘The Complete Edition’”.

The package includes six hand-pressed 7" black vinyl records with three bonus tracks – “Boogeyman Blues”, “Arts & Crafts” and “Railroad Daisies” – all of which were recorded during sessions for the 2022 record.

While each 7" is packaged in its own jacket, the box also contains a 7" turntable mat and an 8-page booklet.

First introduced with the lead track, “Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)”, Clutch recorded “Sunrise At Slaughter Beach” at the The Magpie Cage Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD with producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood) with additional engineering by J Robbins (Against Me!, The Sword).

Clutch expand PA Tapes live series with 1993 Norfolk concert

Clutch is streaming the second package in their new live “PA Tapes” series in sync with its April 25 release.

“When we released the first PA Tapes show from Copenhagen at the beginning of March, we thought that the Nashville show was next,” says the band. “Then this happened…PA Tapes (Live at King's Head Inn, Norfolk, VA, 4/25/93) is available now on all digital platforms.

“Today, 4/25/23, marks the 30th anniversary of one of Clutch's earliest shows, recorded at the King's Head Inn in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 25th, 1993. This is a remarkable deep cut sure to delight diehard Clutch fans, the King's Head Inn held barely 100 rock fans and also saw the likes of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Stevie Ray Vaughan grace the stage in its heyday.”

The 10-song, 40-minute performance – which opens with the 1992 track “Passive Restraints” – features five songs that would appear just four months later on Clutch’s debut album, “Transnational Speedway League.”

"This is a recording of our set at the legendary King's Head Inn in Norfolk, VA on April 25th, 1993,” says Neil Fallon. “We had just finished recording ‘Transnational Speedway League’ and it was due to come out in September of that year. The night prior to this set, we had played in New York City at The Academy with Biohazard, Onyx, and Dog Eat Dog.

"We cleaned up this board tape as best we could. We also didn’t edit out the moments in-between songs because, despite the abundance of noise and the low fidelity, we think it best captures the essence of what a Clutch show was like 30 years ago."

The Maryland band is currently playing dates on a newly-launched spring tour of North America in support of their latest album, “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach.”

“The venue that this show was recorded in is the legendary Vega,” says drummer Jean-Paul Gaster. “The stage and sound are top notch but, more than anything, the crowds are always ready to rock. We love playing Copenhagen!”

The “Clutch PA Tapes” series will include four mixed and mastered live shows, which are handpicked by the band; the group will release the additional three live shows roughly every two months – including the second installment, a recording of the Nashville, TN performance from September 29, 2022.

Clutch will launch the No Stars Above North American tour in Norfolk, VA on April 11.

Clutch announce spring North American tour

Clutch has announced dates for a spring tour of North America.

The “No Stars Above” series in support of the Maryland band’s latest album, “Sunrise On Slaughter Beach”, will open in Norfolk, VA on April 11 and wrap up May 18 in Sayreville, NJ.

“Our last show was just a month ago and we already have the itch to hit the stage again,” says drummer Jean-Paul Gaster. "This time we head out with our friends Amigo the Devil and Nate Bergman. Check out the dates and get your tickets. We guarantee a night of good music and fun times. See y’all out there!”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 20 at 10 AM local time.

First introduced with the lead track, “Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)”, the 2022 set was recorded at the The Magpie Cage Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD and produced/mixed by Grammy-nominated Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood) with additional engineering by J Robbins (Against Me!, The Sword).

Clutch launched the project last fall with a live-streamed performance of the album from a club show in Baltimore, MD, which you can watch in full here.
