Rush were forced to postpone a pair of concerts at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX after frontman Geddy Lee came down with laryngitis and bronchitis.
"To our fans, We are deeply sorry to share that we must postpone our June 30 and July 2 shows,” shared the band on social media. “Geddy has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. After being evaluated by his doctors, he has been advised that he needs additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage.
"This is incredibly disappointing for all of us. We know many of you have made travel plans and have been counting down the days to these shows. Please know this decision was not made lightly. After more than 50 years of touring, we've always believed that if we're going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give-and right now, that simply isn't possible.
"We're grateful to everyone involved for helping us quickly find new dates to celebrate together. The June 30 show has been rescheduled for July 11. The July 2 show has been rescheduled for July 13.
"All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If you are unable to attend, refund information will be available from your original point of purchase.
"Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for always standing with us. We look forward to seeing you in just a couple of weeks and appreciate your continued support while Geddy makes a full recovery."
The news comes after Rush played the first two of four nights in Fort Worth.

The trek sees Rush founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson reunite following the passing of Neil Peart in 2020.

Rush are sharing a recap of the launch of its Fifty Something Tour.
On Sunday, Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson kicked off the highly anticipated tour with the first of 4 sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Kia Forum, marking the band's first tour performance in 11 years.
The show launched a landmark run celebrating more than five decades of Rush music and legacy, bringing the band full circle as Kia Forum was also the site of Rush's final R40 Tour performance on August 1, 2015 with longtime band member Neil Peart who passed away in 2020.
Joined by acclaimed drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, Rush opened the show with a signature opening film that pays tribute to and celebrates the band's more than fifty year career and then broke into 11 minute "Xanadu" with both Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson revealed behind the fog with their signature double neck guitars.
Rush performed 2 career-spanning sets, with Night 1 featuring fan favorites including "Limelight," "The Spirit of Radio," "Tom Sawyer" and "YYZ," alongside beloved deep cuts from across the band's legendary catalog such as "By-Tor and the Snowdog."
On Night 2, Rush changed it up with over 9 different songs including "Free Will," "The Trees" and "Closer to the Heart" while kicking off the second set with the entire first side of legendary album “2112” to a spellbound crowd.
Both evenings featured a special guest appearance from Aimee Mann, who joined the band for an emotional performance of "Time Stand Still," the second of two tributes to Neil Peart in the show.
Rush closed both nights with "Working Man" from their self-titled debut album, bringing the opening nights of the Fifty Something Tour to a memorable end and heightened anticipation of what's in store for nights 3 and 4 of their sold out run.
The Fifty Something Tour continues this week with additional sold-out performances at Kia Forum on June 13 before heading to Mexico City, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and more.

The band opened the event with a surprise performance of "Finding My Way", the first track from Rush's 1974 self-titled debut album.
"You really can't ask us what song to play,” Lee told reporters after the appearance. “If we have to choose one song, it's almost impossible. We have so many. So we just asked management, and they said first song, first album."
"Also, it's the only song we know how to play," joked Lifeson.

Rush have extended their Fifty Something Tour into 2027.
Last fall, Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced their return to the stage for a very special Fifty Something Tour in Canada, US and Mexico in 2026 in celebration of Rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. The response was overwhelming with the initial 22 dates selling out immediately, which encouraged additional shows, resulting in a total of 58 shows in 24 cities and over half a million tickets sold for 2026.
Today the band are ecstatic to announce the addition of South America, the United Kingdom and Europe tour dates to the Fifty Something tour, in early 2027. The dates will be the first time the band has played in Europe since 2013 and 17 years since visiting South America.
Performing 24 shows across 13 countries, these special “evening with” shows will find the band playing two sets each night. Each show will feature a distinct selection of songs and Rush will build each night’s setlist from a catalogue of 40+ songs including their greatest hits and fan favorites.
For Fifty Something, Lee and Lifeson will be accompanied by German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, who has performed as Jeff Beck’s drummer for over 60 shows and has released four solo albums; the band will also be joined by keyboard player Loren Gold (The Who, Roger Daltrey).
“We can’t wait to get back to all these cities we haven’t played in so long, as well as hitting some new places we’ve yet to play,” says Lee. “Both Alex and I are loving the hours of rehearsal time we’re spending with Anika and now Loren, learning around 40 songs which will enable us to keep the shows evolving, playing some different songs on different nights. The limited-edition version of the Super Deluxe Edition includes four CDs, one Blu-ray, and a 52-page hardcover book. CD1 features the album's original 1984 stereo mix newly remastered from the original analog stereo master tapes by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios. Although “Grace Under Pressure” was the first Rush studio album not produced by Terry Brown after a decade long healthy working relationship, CD2 now features Brown's brand-new stereo mix of the album, as created from the original studio album's analog multitracks.
CD3 and CD4 present the first-ever complete setlist of the show Rush performed on September 21, 1984, at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, which was also newly mixed from the original multitrack audio masters and has now been retitled “Grace Under Pressure Tour: Live in Toronto 1984.”
The Blu-ray features the above concert on video newly edited & newly remastered in HD with the audio soundtrack offered in 48kHz/24-bit Dolby Atmos, 96kHz/24-bit Dolby TrueHD 5.1, and 96kHz/24-bit PCM stereo options, all newly mixed by Terry Brown. Its previous incarnation as 1986's Grace Under Pressure Tour concert home video and CD was somewhat incomplete, and this new full concert experience features 37 minutes of unreleased performances.
Also on the Blu-ray, the full 1984 studio album is newly mixed in 48kHz/24-bit Dolby Atmos and 96kHz/24-bit Dolby TrueHD 5.1 by longtime band associate, producer/engineer Richard Chycki, from the original album's multitracks along with the newly remastered 192kHz/24-bit and 96kHz/24-bit PCM stereo.
Additionally, on the Blu-ray, Terry Brown's new album remix is presented in 96kHz/24-bit PCM stereo, along with the band's music videos for "Distant Early Warning," "Afterimage," "The Enemy Within," and "The Body Electric," all of which have been visually remastered in HD and presented in 96kHz/24-bit Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and 48kHz/24-bit PCM stereo. ("The Enemy Within" was the very first music video shown by Canadian TV channel MuchMusic, now known as Fuse, on August 31, 1984.)
The Super Deluxe Edition of Grace Under Pressure will also include new liner notes penned by Geddy Lee, reflecting on his memories of finding a new producer for the album and reminiscing on a recent re-listen of the album proper. Original album designer Hugh Syme re-imagines the original album cover along with creating brand-new illustrations for each of the album's eight songs and other related visual elements in the book. Exclusive bonus collectibles in the box include a custom acrylic Grace Under Pressure LED light-up display; a replica of the Grace Under Pressure tour book; a replica Maple Leaf Gardens/Toronto show concert ticket; a Grace Under Pressure Tour total access backstage pass; "Pressure Release" a replica of the 6-page press release; three bandmember live photo lithos; and a poster from the Toronto show. All contents are housed in a premium lift-top box.
The second Grace Under Pressure configuration will be released in is a five-LP plus Blu-ray Super Deluxe Edition, which is the analog equivalent of the four-CD edition. The LPs in the Super Deluxe Edition have been cut at Abbey Road Studios and pressed on 180-gram audiophile black vinyl at GZ Media in the Czech Republic.
Both the 4LP + Blu-ray and 5LP + Blu-ray Super Deluxe Editions will also be offered at the Rush Backstage online store with 3 exclusive bonus lithos of Hugh Syme's new illustrations.
The third Grace Under Pressure configuration will be the Super Deluxe Digital Edition, which is the digital equivalent to the physical Super Deluxe Edition audio tracks.
The fourth configuration, the Dolby Atmos Digital Edition, is the digital equivalent of Richard Chycki's Atmos mix of all eight tracks from the original 1984 album.
Finally, the fifth configuration is the Grace Under Pressure Tour: Live in Toronto 1984 newly edited, mixed and visually remastered in HD concert video made available to video DSPs.
Rush has added 17 more dates to its “Fifty Something” 2026 Tour.

“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,” says Lee. “A lifetime’s worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording and playing together onstage. And so, after all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we ******* miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music. So in 2026, my BFF Lerxst (aka Alex Lifeson) and I are going to hit the road once again to pay tribute to our past and to Neil by performing a vast selection of Rush songs in a handful of cities. No small task, because as we all know Neil was irreplaceable.
“Yet life is full of surprises, and we have been introduced to another remarkable person; an incredible drummer and musician who is adding another chapter to our story while continuing her own fascinating musical journey. Her name is Anika Nilles, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role. Before we hit the stage, we also hope to add another musician or two to expand our sound a wee bit and free up Alex and I, in order to show off some of our new fancy dance steps.

Peart passed away in January of 2020 at the age of 67 after a three-and-a-half year battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer known as Glioblastoma.

Rush will perform multiple shows in 7 cities across Canada, the United States and Mexico, beginning June 7, 2026 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. These special “evening with” shows will find the band playing two sets each night. Each show will feature a distinct selection of songs and Rush will build each night’s setlist from a catalogue of 35 songs including their greatest hits and fan favorites.
For Fifty Something, Lee and Lifeson will be accompanied by German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, who has performed as Jeff Beck’s drummer for over 60 shows and has released four solo albums.

Rush will release its first-ever career anthology, “Rush 50”, on March 21.
The project celebrates the half-century milestone marker for the Toronto band with a wide-ranging 50-track super deluxe anthology that encompasses the entirety of the band’s long and storied career for the first time - bookended with the first ever reissue of their debut 1973 single and a live recording of the last song they ever performed together as a band at their final concert in 2015 at The Forum in Los Angeles.
“Rush 50” will be available to fans in five distinct configurations, including the (1) Super Deluxe Edition, (2) Rush Store Exclusive Super Deluxe Edition, (3) 7-LP Deluxe Edition, (4) 4-CD Deluxe Edition, and (5) Digital Edition.
“50? Is that all?,” jokes Geddy Lee, “…seriously…it’s a cool collection…but look at all those songs – I’m exhausted just reading the effin list!”
In July 1974, Lee, guitarist/vocalist Alex Lifeson, and the late, great drummer/lyricist Neil Peart came together to solidify Rush’s lineup that brought the world at large many multiple decades’ worth of masterful progressive-rock-leaning musicianship and scores of rock radio masterpieces, iconic lyrics and storytelling.
“Rush 50” serves as a complete career-spanning Rush anthology on seven LPs and four CDs, featuring 50 tracks in total — seven of them previously unreleased — alongside numerous choice selections from every studio album, live release, and deluxe reissue the band has officially released over the years. Amongst the Holy Grail unreleased tracks are the first-ever official CD and LP reissue of Rush’s very first single on Moon Records from 1973, “Not Fade Away” and “You Can’t Fight It,” a pair of early gems that fans have been clamoring to be released officially for decades – newly remastered from the original analog tapes. Other studio rarities found on RUSH 50 include Vault Editions of 1974’s “Working Man” and 1978’s “The Trees,” both of which showcase alternate guitar solos by Alex Lifeson, with the former track only having been available as a digital single while the latter cut has never been officially released beyond its appearance on instrument-based video games.
Additionally, five unreleased live songs have been culled from some of Rush’s most legendary performances. Four of them — including two non-album cuts, “Bad Boy” and “Garden Road” — originate from a pair of the band’s earliest live shows at (1) Laura Secord Secondary School in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, on May 15, 1974, and (2) the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 26, 1974. The two live tracks from the Ontario show include original drummer John Rutsey (“Need Some Love” and “Before and After”), while the other two from the Cleveland gig feature Neil Peart behind the kit (“Bad Boy” and “Garden Road”). Rush visited New York’s iconic Electric Lady Studios in December of 1974 with their unreleased performance of “Anthem” being presented here. The “Rush 50” collection’s last unreleased live offering comes from Rush’s final career performance with Peart that took place at The Forum in Los Angeles, California, on August 1, 2015 — a masterful, nuanced medley construction of “What You’re Doing / Working Man / Garden Road” newly mixed from the multi-tracks by longtime Rush producer & engineer Terry Brown.
Besides these long-sought-after rarities, "Rush 50" embodies the full arc of Rush’s growth and ultimate prowess in the studio setting, as evidenced by the restless nomadic manifesto of “Fly by Night,” the vulnerability linchpin “Closer to the Heart” and the crackling energy of the airwaves in “The Spirit of Radio” and “Tom Sawyer.” The collection continues to showcase at least one studio track from all 20 official studios albums while also spotlighting officially released live recordings such as “YYZ,” “La Villa Strangiato” and two Neil Peart masterpiece drum solos.
The Super Deluxe Edition includes four CDs, seven LPs, and new artwork from Hugh Syme, the band’s longtime creative director who has designed the collection’s brand-new 50th anniversary graphics along with 29 new illustrations that celebrate the vibrant essence of Rush’s songs. The seven high-quality 180-gram audiophile black-vinyl LPs each feature additional new artwork from Syme in premium tip-on jackets. Each LP in the Super Deluxe Edition has been cut via Direct Metal Mastering and they have been pressed at GZ Media in the Czech Republic. The included 104-page hardcover book sports detailed essays from noted rock journalists David Fricke and Philip Wilding, who both recount their individual experiences with the band and convey their crowning achievements — and all of it is centered around incredible career-spanning photos of the band in action.
"Exclusives to the Super Deluxe Edition are 20 new illustration lithographs by Syme – showcasing one song from each studio album, and a second hardcover book, the brand-new 100-page graphic novel The Fullness Of Time. written and illustrated by Fantoons, the graphic novel visually brings to life a conversation between Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson reflecting on the trials, tribulations and successes recording each studio album with contributions from many of the producers and engineers who were instrumental in the evolution of Rush’s sound over the years — Terry Brown, Peter Henderson, Paul Northfield, Peter Collins, Rupert Hine, Kevin “Caveman” Shirley, Stephen W. Tayler, and Nick Raskulinecz. Finally, all of the contents in "Rush 50" are housed in a premium box with rotating lid and a “Rush 50” golden jubilee emblem.
The Rush Store Exclusive version of the Super Deluxe Edition of "Rush 50" will offer everything noted above plus four bonus lithos showcasing Rush through time, newly illustrated by Fantoons from the characters created for the graphic novel depicting the band in the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s.
The third configuration of RUSH 50 will be released in a seven-LP Deluxe Edition, which is the vinyl-only equivalent of the Super Deluxe Edition with slightly different outer gold graphics, and it also features the 104-page hardcover book with the aforementioned essays, photos, and new Syme artwork in tow.
The fourth “Rush 50” configuration will be the four-CD Deluxe Edition, which features all 50 tracks from the Super Deluxe Edition, and it includes Syme’s new artwork and the contents of the 104-page hardcover book as well.
Finally, the fifth configuration, the Digital Edition, is the digital equivalent of the Super Deluxe Edition.

Rush bassist Geddy Lee will launch his forthcoming memoir, “My Effin’ Life”, with a series of North American live events this fall.
In addition to the 5 dates in the UK announced last week, Lee will be featured in 14 cities for a fall run that will begin at New York’s Beacon Theatre on November 13.
The “My Effin’ Life” In Conversation evening promises to be a once-in-a-life-time event. After the curtain rises, Lee will give his fans a peek into the very fabric of his life: from a deep reflection of his family and childhood, to a dive into the history of Rush; from the determined pursuit of music, to the personal memories with his life-long friends and band-mates, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart.
Joined on stage by a special guest interviewer, Lee will be read key passages from his book before sharing thoughts and stories taken from his experience. Fans will then have the chance to participate in a special Q&A, with Lee answering their questions directly.
Rush formed in 1968 in Toronto’s Willowdale neighborhood when Lifeson started a high school band that eventually included his classmate, Lee, on vocals, bass and keyboards; Peart joined the band in 1974.
“Writing this book has meant spending so much time living in the past,” says Lee. “I’ve never lived my life looking anywhere but forward, which is why I resisted doing this kind of thing for so long. Being in a band all those years was reassuring because it was an ongoing thing. It felt like it was forever. There was always unfinished business: the next record, the next set design, the next tour. It’s been the theme of my life. But you need a lot more determination to proceed in the world of music without the comfort of your bandmates, and I can only hope that finishing this book will release me to return to what I do and love best”.

Envy Of None – the new band featuring Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson – has released an animated video for the track, “That Was Then”, from their newly-available EP, “That Was Then, This Is Now”.
The follow-up to the group’s 2022 self-titled debut sees Lifeson once again working with Coney Hatch founder/bassist Andy Curran, producer and engineer Alfio Annibalini, and singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne to deliver their unique trippy, edgy atmospheric sound.
The EP is made up of very adventurous tracks that consist of remixes of "Dumkoptf" and "Dog’s Life", alongside "Lethe River" and "You’ll Be Sorry", which were only previously-released on the deluxe edition of their debut record.
Following these, the EP culminates with a newly-recorded track, "That Was Then".
"The video was created by the super talented Olivier Boscovitch,” says Curran, who handpicked the artist for the project. “I discovered some of his work online and reached out to him and he loved the song 'That Was Then'. He was inspired by the dark and haunting lyrics that Maiah wrote for the song. He pitched the concept of a girl riding a chopper and travelling through a fictional trippy landscape , basically her life, while being chased by a bad assed villain in a muscle car. The driver of the car represents the person in our lives that we're getting away from. Olivier's amazing graphics are a testament to his unique creativity, we're very lucky to be working with him.
"I'm super proud of the new song, Ty Dennis played a killer drum track that breathed new life into the song and we're very grateful that Alex reached out to him. I think the track itself shows a real growth for Envy of None. It's like we've hit out stride creatively and a nice marker to punctuate that our first record was not a one and done thing. It really opened the floodgates for us writing wise and we're well on our way to a 2nd record."
Rush is streaming a new visualizer video for “Losing It”, in sync with the April 28 release of a series of 40th anniversary reissues of their 1982 album “Signals.”
Recorded with producer Terry Brown at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec, the Canadian band’s ninth studio album and its technology-embracing riffs and rhythms continued their forward-thinking trajectory during an ever-shifting 1980s musical landscape.
“Signals” followed “Moving Pictures” as Rush’s second straight album to top the Canadian charts, while it reached No. 10 on the US Billboard 200.
Due April 28, the 2023 editions is now available in three distinct configurations, including (1) Super Deluxe Edition, (2) one-LP Picture Disc Edition, and (3) Dolby Atmos Digital Edition. There will also be a limited edition Super Deluxe box featuring eight lithographs of Neil Peart’s original hand-drawn lyrics for each song on “Signals” only available through the official Rush online store.
The releases follow last year’s arrival of “Moving Pictures” as the latest project in Rush’s 40th anniversary reissue series.
