Alter Bridge share new music update

Alter Bridge shared plans for new music with fans in sync with the band’s anniversary this week.

“21 years ago, on this day, we formed Alter Bridge!,” said the group January 4 on social media. “Thanks to all our fans for sticking with us and we are going to record a new album this year! Very excited for the future!”

The project would follow the Florida rockers 2022 album, “Pawns & Kings”; the set was produced by longtime associate Michael Baskette and recorded at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, FL.

Alter Bridge’s seventh album debuted in the Top 40 on the US Billboard 200 while earning top 10 positions in multiple European countries, including the UK, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, among others.

The group issued five singles from the package including “Silver Tongue”, “Sin After Sin”, “Holiday” and the title track.

Tremonti releases video for One More Time single

Tremonti has released a video for “One More Time”, from its forthcoming album “The End Will Show Us How.”

The tune follows “Just Too Much” as the second and latest preview to the set, which will arrive January 10 via Napalm Records.

"It started with the pre-chorus and chorus idea,” explains Mark Tremonti about the song. “When I came up with the opening riff, it really solidified the song. Now, it's one of the heaviest tracks on the record. It's going to be one of those songs that translates well live. Thematically, it's based on all of the madness in the world. There's so much hatred and violence going on as well as so many polarizing ideologies. That led me to those lyrics."

The 2025 project sees the return of the guitarist/vocalist/songwriter with the sixth album from his solo band.

Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette – the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007 – “The End Will Show Us How” serves as the follow-up to the group’s 2021 set, “Marching In Time.”

Mark is backed in Tremonti by guitarist Eric Friedman, bassist Tanner Keegan and drummer Ryan Bennett.

The group will launch the record with a European tour that will open in Hamburg, Germany on January 14.

Alter Bridge update new album status

Alter Bridge are sharing an update on the status of their sixth album.

Earlier this year, guitarist Mark Tremonti confirmed the band’s plans to hit the studio in March and April for sessions on the follow-up to 2016's "The Last Hero."

Last month, the rocker revealed the group were nearing completion, tweeting: “Tracking for AB 6 is now 100% finished! Mixing starts very soon, can’t wait to share these songs with all of you.....”

Alter Bridge issued the latest news on June 1 in a social media post quoting bassist Brian Marshall.

“AB6 recording and mixing complete,” says Marshall. “Album artwork looking sick! Cannot wait for you all to hear this.”

Scheduled for release this fall, Alter Bridge will host a listening party for the record in Orlando, FL on September 17.

Alter Bridge confirm new album plans

Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has confirmed the band’s plans for recording the follow-up to 2016's "The Last Hero."

“We are going in the studio after this tour with Sevendust,” the rocker tells Rockwell Anderson of The Edge Rock Radio onboard the ShipRocked cruise where he performed with Tremonti. “We’re going to go into the studio in March and April and then after that, I go back on tour with Tremonti and then go back on tour with Alter Bridge this winter.”

Last fall, Alter Bridge released "Live At The Royal Albert Hall"; the package documents the band’s a pair of October 2017 sold-out shows at the iconic London venue, where they were backed by the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra led by conductor Simon Dobson to deliver a career-spanning set.

Singer Myles Kennedy spent much of 2017 touring in support of his debut solo effort, "Year Of The Tiger."

Recorded with producer and longtime Alter Bridge associate Michael "Elvis" Baskette, the project reached No. 63 on the US Billboard and top 10 spots in Scotland, New Zealand and Austria.

The rocker will regroup with Slash And The Conspirators this week to begin a European tour in Offenbach, Germany on February 7 in support of their latest album,"Living The Dream", and join them again this summer of series of just-announced dates for a North American trek in July.

Alter Bridge are streaming video of an "orchestra-only" version of their 2010 track, "Words Darker Than Their Wings", from the recently-released package “Live At The Royal Albert Hall.”

The footage presents conductor Simon Dobson and the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra performing the closing track from the Florida band’s third album, “AB III”, during a pair of October 2017 sold-out shows at the legendary London venue.

“Live At The Royal Albert Hall” features some of Alter Bridge’s biggest hits, fan favorites and songs like “Before Tomorrow Comes,” “Ghost Of Days Gone By,” “The Last Hero” and “Broken Wings”, each presented with enhanced, unique arrangements in an orchestral setting.

“I think out of all the years of doing this [music], this experience is the top two or three highlights without a doubt,” says singer Myles Kennedy. “It’s something that none of us are going to forget.”

The package is now available in various audio and video versions, including Blu-Ray, DVD, CD, Vinyl and digitally.

VIDEO: Alter Bridge stream 2004 rarity from Live At The Royal Albert Hall package

Alter Bridge are streaming video of the 2004 track, “The End Is Here”, as the latest preview to the September 7 release of the forthcoming package “Live At The Royal Albert Hall.”

The rare live performance of the tune – which hasn’t been heard in more than decade – from the group’s debut album, “One Day Remains”, at the legendary UK venue showcases one of the rare moments in an Alter Bridge concert where frontman Myles Kennedy puts down his guitar and focuses solely on delivering a powerful vocal.

“Live At The Royal Albert Hall” documents the Florida band’s pair of October 2017 sold-out shows in London, where they were backed by the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra led by conductor Simon Dobson to deliver a career-spanning set.

VIDEO: Alter Bridge stream live debut of Words Darker Than Their Wings

Alter Bridge are streaming video of the live debut of their 2010 track, “Words Darker Than Their Wings”, from the forthcoming package “Live At The Royal Albert Hall.”

Due September 7, the set documents the band’s pair of October 2017 sold-out shows at the iconic London venue, where they were backed by the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra led by conductor Simon Dobson to deliver a career-spanning set.

“’Words Darker Than Their Wings’ was a song that we never played before ever and it’s been one of our favorites, especially me and Scott Phillips,” explains guitarist Mark Tremonti. “That’s been one of our top 3 Alter Bridge songs since we wrote it and its just one of those songs that we have been trying and trying and trying to play live and Myles is always kind of pushing back about it and finally, you know with this orchestra he [Myles] said this is the perfect time to do it. We did and it was the biggest reaction of both nights.”

The package will be available in various audio and video versions, including Blu-Ray, DVD, CD, Vinyl and digitally.
