Chickenfoot III podcast 2: Alright Alright

Chickenfoot have released the second in a new video podcast series to introduce their new album, “Chickenfoot III,” due September 27.

The every-other-day video podcast series is designed to take fans behind the scenes and hear the members of Chickenfoot give background behind each song on the new project while sharing a preview clip of the track.

Episode #2 features the guys talking about the album’s second track, “Alright Alright.”

In the short studio scene for the song, we see Chad Smith hanging in on drums, but for any upcoming live shows, fans will experience veteran Kenny Aronoff behind the kit as Smith has returned to his regular gig with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Aronoff was Chad’s personal pick to fill in during his absence.

"Listen, I'm living out back,” said Smith in a video explaining the situation. “Things are rough; I've got bills to pay. I've got to go to work. I've got my day job to go to. But only for a little bit — I'll be back. In the meantime a great buddy of mine, Kenny Aronoff, is going to come play the drums. He's going to tear it up. He's awesome: you're going to have a great time, so make sure you go out and see the Foot."

"Chad, I'm going to kick ass for Chickenfoot, man. I'm going to do a kick-ass job for you and the band,"
replied Kenny.
