VIDEO: Slash avoids the mashed potatoes

Comedy is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

While in the UK last week to launch his new wah-wah pedal at the GuitarGuitar store in Epsom, Slash did several media interviews.

One of the shortest, and strangest, was with Peter Dale (aka “Tubes”) of the British Saturday morning soccer-based comedy/talk show, “Soccer AM.”

Part of Dales’ shtick is to do a feature billed as “one question and one question only” – no need for further explanation on that, obviously.

Instead of actually asking his one question, Peter blathered some nonsense, pulled some mashed potatoes out of pockets, and smeared it all over his own face.

Slash looked on without much reaction, as he’s probably had to endure all kinds of people in all kinds of situations throughout the years. Amazing will power and kudos to Slash for not reacting, with full knowledge that cameras were rolling.

Thankfully, things ended as quickly as they began – no one was laughing; Slash called it a “wrap” and moved on; at least Slash didn’t have to waste any more of his valuable time once things concluded.

Slash later tweeted: "No one threw anything at me. Just a prat w/a face full of mashed potatoes."
