Eddie Vedder tops the hennemusic Hot 10

The Pearl Jam buzz is building as the band’s 20th Anniversary celebrations get closer each week; part of that momentum is the new music, DVD and tour by PJ frontman Eddie Vedder, who tops the hennemusic Hot 10 this week.

Vedder’s solo album, "Ukelele Songs,” and concert DVD, “Water On The Road,” were released this past Tuesday (May 31), in advance of Eddie’s US tour, which launches next week in Rhode Island.

Vedder’s new video for “Can’t Keep” – a song originally recorded for PJ’s 2002 album, “Riot Act” - took the top spot on the HH10, while news about PJ’s new album landed at #4.

The HH10 is a list of the most-viewed rock news stories in the past week by hennemusic readers.

#3 this week confirms rock fans are keeping their eyes on the status of Chickenfoot, as we get an update on the band’s sophomore album. Due later this year, the guys have been working on the record, which guitarist Joe Satriani says “we’re hoping to mix sometime in June.” Should the band begin touring upon the album’s release, there’s still the issue of a temporary drummer for the supergroup, as Chad Smith heads back to his day job with The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
