Slipknot named Best Metal Debut Album of past 25 years

Readers of UK rock magazine Metal Hammer have overwhelmingly named Slipknot’s 19999 self-titled disc the Best Metal Debut in the past 25 years.

Over 16,000 fans participated in the special 25th Anniversary Poll, with Slipknot taking about a third of all votes – ahead of debuts from the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Korn, Machine Head and Pantera.

Slipknot recently played the Rock In Rio festival, on a bill headlined by Metallica – check out the band’s full set here.
