The band was holed up at singer Sammy Hagar’s studio/rehearsal space, The Foot Locker, as Chickenfoot prepare for a week of European shows on their Road Test Tour, starting January 12 in Manchester.
Bassist Michael Anthony was up first, followed by guitarist Joe Satriani; Sammy and drummer Kenny Aronoff were also around to say a quick hello.
Video of Satriani’s session has surfaced, so fans can check out how part of the Chickenfoot fest went down.
Joe was asked about a variety of things, from guitar to gear to touring questions, including his most memorable performance outside of his solo and Chickenfoot projects.
“Playing with Mick Jagger was great, back in ’88…almost ancient history now,” Satriani said. “Mick was a really fun guy to hang out with; he was really just so totally into putting on a great show…on every level.”
