Iron Maiden and The Black Crowes among 2026 Rock Hall nominees

Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes and Oasis are among the nominees for induction into the 2026 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

The Cleveland-based institution has revealed the full list of artists under consideration, which also includes Billy Idol, INXS, Phil Collins and Melissa Etheridge, among others.

“This diverse list of talented Nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of Rock & Roll and its continued impact on youth culture”, said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor and we look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 this Fall.”

Artists or bands become eligible for nomination 25 years after releasing their first commercial recording. Among this year’s 17 Nominees, 10 are appearing on the ballot for the first time: Jeff Buckley, Phil Collins, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, P!NK, Shakira, Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan.

Nominee ballots will be distributed to an international voting panel composed of over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The selection criteria include an artist’s impact on music culture, influence on other musicians that have followed, as well as the scope and longevity of their career and body of work.

The 2026 Performer Inductees will be revealed in April, along with those Inductees entering the Hall under three special committee categories: Musical Influence, Musical Excellence and the Ahmet Ertegun Non Performer Award.

This year’s Induction Ceremony will take place in the Fall, with exact dates and ticket sale details following soon.

The Black Crowes announce North American tour

The Black Crowes have announced their massive co-headlining Southern Hospitality Tour with modern rock’s boundary-pushing powerhouse Whiskey Myers, along with opener Southall.

The Crowes will be on the road in support in support of their latest album, “A Pound Of Feathers”, due March 13 via Silver Arrow Records.

Recorded in Nashville with producer by Jay Joyce, the project – which follows 2024’s “Happiness Bastards” – pushes their iconic blend of blues, soul and rock into electrifying new terrain.

“This album feels transformative to us,” says Rich Robinson. “Going back to our roots, we felt that spark in the studio and how we work together. Lighting a fire that hits harder, more jagged but is still true to our musical essence.”

The Southern Hospitality Tour will open on May 17 in Austin, TX and play to more than 40 cities during the run; it will include - for the first time ever – The Black Crowes, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Whiskey Myers at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in August.

Pre-sales begin Tuesday, February 3 at 10am local time, with general on-sale starting Friday, February 6 at 10am local time.

The Black Crowes are debuting a video for "Cursed Diamond" in sync with the recent release of an expanded 30th anniversary release of their 1994 album, “Amorica”, via UMe.

“Cursed Diamond” officially unearthed,” says the band on social media. “Watch the brand new music video built from the 1994 Amorica. Mushroom Party footage - released for the first time today.”

The Atlanta band’s third studio set came on the heels of the massive success of their 1990 debut, “Shake Your Money Maker”, and 1992’s “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion”, and featured songs like “A Conspiracy”, “Wiser Time”, and “High Head Blues.”

"Amorica was about breaking free and doing things on our own terms," says Chris Robinson. "It wasn't about fitting into what was happening in music at the time. It was about trusting our instincts - and 30 years later, that's still who we are."

"The bond between us, even when tested, always came back to the music,” adds guitarist Rich Robinson. “That's what Amorica represents - our belief in ourselves and in this band."

The 2025 deluxe box set is available as a 5LP or 3CD set; it features “Tallest”, a studio album of 9 newly mixed songs from the “Tall” sessions. “Tall”, the legendary unreleased album recorded before “Amorica”, was initially scrapped by Chris and Rich to bring a new creative energy to the recording of “Amorica.”

George Drakoulias and Martin Pradler have done new mixes from the original multitrack recordings.

The set includes 3 unreleased recordings: "Bitter, Bitter You," "Title Song," and "Paris Song," an instrumental that evolves into the Amorica track "Cursed Diamond."

Also included in the deluxe edition is The Marie Laveau Sessions, featuring 7 previously unreleased studio recordings from October 1992. Recorded at Kingsway Studios in New Orleans, LA, on an off day from the High High The Moon Tour, where Chris and Rich captured the 7 songs that they had worked up during soundcheck.

Additionally, the band also includes 4 live songs recorded for a worldwide live radio broadcast to premiere Amorica from AIR Studios in London, UK, on October 25, 1994.

"And another one," says the band. "It’s the music video for 'Wiser Time,'' which has never been released on YouTube. Remastered in 4K for the Amorica reissue."

"Wiser Time" followed "A Conspiracy" and "High Head Blues" as the third single from the Atlanata band's third studio set, which reached No. 11 on the US Billboard 200.

The Black Crowes perform Amorica album on Live At Analog

The Black Crowes are streaming video of a performance of their 1994 album, "Amorica", in a brand-new episode of Recorded Live at Analog.

The series delivers shows filmed at Analog inside of Nashville's Hutton Hotel, located just steps away from Music Row.

Led by founding brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, the Atlanta rockers shared stories behind many of their songs and played the album in full, including hits "Wiser Time," "P. 25 London," "A Conspiracy" and more, before ending with an encore of "Remedy."

"Revisiting amorica. in Nashville felt like coming home... A chance to reconnect with a record that defined a chapter for us," says Chris. "It was great to be able to share it with fans in a way that felt so personal."

The Black Crowes snag Grammy nomination for Happiness Bastards

The Black Crowes have snagged a 2025 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Rock Album category with its latest release, “Happiness Bastards.”

The project will compete for music industry support for the honor alongside albums by Fontaines D.C., Green Day, Idles, Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, and Jack White.

Produced by Jay Joyce, “Happiness Bastards” sees singer Chris Robinson, brother/guitarist Rich, and longtime bassist Sven Pipien record the follow-up to 2009's "Before The Frost… Until The Freeze."

"'Happiness Bastards' is our love letter to rock 'n' roll,” says Chris. “Rich and I are always writing and creating music; that has never stopped for us, and it is always where we find harmony together. This record represents that."

"This album is a continuation of our story as a band,” adds Rich. “Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce. I am incredibly proud of what we put together."

"Happiness Bastards" contains 10 tracks, including a guest appearance by Lainey Wilson, a Grammy-nominated country singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after her music was featured on the television drama "Yellowstone"; she was named the 2023 CMA Entertainer Of The Year.

The 2025 Grammy Awards, officially known as the 67th Grammy Awards, will take place live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.

Steven Tyler rocks Aerosmith classic with The Black Crowes in London

Steven Tyler rocked the Aerosmith classic, “Mama Kin”, during a surprise guest appearance with The Black Crowes in London, UK on May 15, and fan-filmed video from the event is streaming online.

Tyler joined the Georgia band during the encore at the Eventim Apollo for the track, which was featured on Aerosmith’s 1973 self-titled debut album.

The Black Crowes are on the road in support of their latest album, “Happiness Bastards.”

Produced by Jay Joyce, the project debuted in March on the US charts, where it opened at No. 15 on US Top Rock Albums, No. 18 on US Independent Albums, at No. 97 on the US Billboard 200.

The current UK and European leg will wrap up at Spain’s Stone & Music Festival on May 9, after which The Black Crowes will play a series of US festivals before joining Aerosmith as the Boston band resumes its Peace Out farewell tour in September; the series went on hiatus after Tyler sustained vocal cord damage and a fractured larynx during one of the first few shows of the trek last fall.

Ronnie Wood rocks Faces classic with The Black Crowes in Los Angeles

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood rocked the Faces classic, “Stay With Me”, during a surprise guest appearance with The Black Crowes in Los Angeles, CA on April 12, and the band is sharing video from the event.

The Black Crowes welcomed the legendary rocker to the stage just a few songs into its set at The Greek Theatre, with Chris Robinson telling the crowd, “He doesn't need an introduction, but he's going to get one: Mr. Ronnie Wood, everybody.”

Wood co-wrote “Stay With Me” with Rod Stewart as members of Faces, and appears on the 1971 classic from the group’s third album, “A Nod's as Good as a Wink... To a Blind Horse”; the song was a Top 10 hit in several countries, and delivered the band their highest-charting US single when it reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Los Angeles show marked just the seventh date of The Black Crowes’ newly-launched tour in support of its latest album, “Happiness Bastards.”

The Black Crowes rock rare Led Zeppelin classic on The Howard Stern Show

The Black Crowes rocked the 1970 Led Zeppelin rarity, “Hey, Hey, What Can I Do”, during a March 27 appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

The tune was originally released as the b-side to the “Led Zeppelin III” US vinyl single, “Immigrant Song”, which went on to become a Top 20 hit in the region while the b-side wasn’t available via CD for another two decades.

“This one’s for you, by the way, Howard”, said Chris Robinson after Stern shared how excited he was about the song selection.

The host also checked in on the band’s current relationship with Jimmy Page, which Chris shared alongside news that the band is planning to expand a live recording they did with Page in 1999 that was released the following year and only included Zeppelin material; a 25th anniversary package due next year will include previously-unreleased Black Crowes material featuring the guitar icon.

The group was featured on the Stern Show to promote their newly-released album, “Happiness Bastards”, and the April 2 launch of a North American tour in Nashville, TN.

The Black Crowes rock 1992 classic Remedy on The Howard Stern Show

The Black Crowes rocked their 1992 classic, “Remedy”, during a March 27 appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

The lead single from the Georgia outfit’s second record was one of three songs they delivered live during the appearance (watch “Wanting And Waiting” here), which was to promote the recently-released new album, “Happiness Bastards”, and the April 2 launch of a North American tour in Nashville, TN.

Produced by Jay Joyce, “Happiness Bastards” just debuted on the US charts, where it opened at No. 15 on US Top Rock Albums, No. 18 on US Independent Albums, at No. 97 on the US Billboard 200.

Following the spring North American run, The Black Crowes will head to the UK and Europe for a month of performances.

“Hope everybody is ready to rock & roll with us on the Happiness Bastards Tour this spring!,” says Chris Robinson. “We’re excited to be playing songs from our new album along with some deeper tracks, juicy covers and the songs you want to hear!”

The Black Crowes rocked their “Happiness Bastards” single, “Wanting And Waiting”, during the March 18 episode of NBC-TV’s The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

The performance of the track – which recently launched the project – followed an interview with Chris Robinson to promote the Georgia group’s tenth studio record, which was produced by Jay Joyce.

"Happiness Bastards" contains 10 tracks, including a guest appearance by Lainey Wilson, a Grammy-nominated country singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after her music was featured on the television drama "Yellowstone"; she was named the 2023 CMA Entertainer Of The Year.

Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they’ve made a triumphant return with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, while also celebrating the 30th anniversaries of their 1990 debut, “Shake Your Money Maker”, and 1992’s “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion.”

The Black Crowes will launch the Happiness Bastards Tour in Nashville, TN on April 2.

Produced by Jay Joyce, the project sees singer Chris Robinson, brother/guitarist Rich, and longtime bassist Sven Pipien record the follow-up to 2009's "Before The Frost… Until The Freeze."

"'Happiness Bastards' is our love letter to rock 'n' roll,” says Chris. “Rich and I are always writing and creating music; that has never stopped for us, and it is always where we find harmony together. This record represents that."

"This album is a continuation of our story as a band,” adds Rich. “Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce. The Black Crowes are debuting a video for “Wanting And Waiting”, the recently-released lead single from their forthcoming album “Happiness Bastards.”

Directed by Christopher Acosta, the clip marks the Georgia band’s first music video in 16 years.

The Black Crowes are streaming “Cross Your Fingers” as the latest single from their forthcoming album, “Happiness Bastards.”

The tune follows “Wanting And Waiting” as the second preview to the March 15 release, which was produced by Jay Joyce and sees singer Chris Robinson, brother/guitarist Rich, and longtime bassist Sven Pipien record the follow-up to 2009's "Before The Frost… Until The Freeze."
