VIDEO: Slash in the studio

Slash has been working on his second solo album over the past few months, teaming up with his touring band for the writing and recording sessions.

Slash’s touring band features Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck, bassist Todd Kerns (Sin City Sinners, formerly of Age Of Electric), and drummer Brent Fitz (formerly of Theory Of A Deadman).

The band has been working at Barefoot Studios in LA with producer Eric Valentine on the project, and Slash now reports the sessions are complete.

“Officially done recording tonight,” posted Slash on Sunday. “Shooting an album length video Tues. finishing shooting for "Gotten" tonight. Busy fn' weekend!”

The “album length video” comment was followed up by Slash with a post on Monday: “Setting up to rehearse the new record end to end for the Mativision shoot tomorrow.”

Slash’s as-yet-untitled album is due May 22.
