Black Star Riders: Debut album available for streaming

Black Star Riders are streaming their debut album, “All Hell Breaks Loose.”

The new band, formed from the final Thin Lizzy lineup, worked with producer Kevin Shirley on the project.

“He [Shirley] works extremely quick,” says guitarist Scott Gorham. “I didn’t actually realize we were going to record the album this way. The mantra is 12 songs in 12 days … and that’s basically what happened. You’ve got your road crew bringing your live gear into the studio, setting it up, and you kind of look over at the drummer and you say, ‘Alright, Jimmy, count us in,’ and you’re off and running. By the end of the day, you have everything on that track done.”

Black Star Riders have released lyric videos for two singles from the album, including “Bound For Glory” and “Kingdom Of The Lost.”

After touring the past few years as Thin Lizzy, the lineup adopted the new band name last fall to start recording a new album with a clean slate, and out of respect to the legacy of the late Phil Lynott.

“All Hell Breaks Loose” is being released on the following dates:

May 21st – Japan
May 22nd - Sweden
May 24th – Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Australia
May 27th – UK, France, BeNeLux, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Greece, Ireland
May 28th – US, Canada, Italy, South America
