Van Halen: New David Lee Roth photo

Still no word from the Van Halen camp, as rumors continue about the search for a new record label, a release date for the new album, and the possible cancellation of a planned 2012 European tour.

The long-held VH stance on public relations is that they don’t comment on rumors, although hired band reps have done so in the past.

Now, of course, VH has a PR person on the inside – Janie Liszewski – AKA Mrs. Eddie Van Halen.

All remains quiet at 5150 these days though, it seems, as fans wait impatiently for an update on something VH.

The one guy who has initiated a profile upgrade lately is David Lee Roth, who activated his social media sites recently, as we reported here.

At the end of September, Dave hopped on board both Twitter (here) and Facebook (here), with a similar post to each: “Get ready…”

Roth also provided a new promo photo of himself in the studio (above), the first public sign of life from the VH crew in a while – the band’s own Facebook page hasn’t been touched since June 2010, and the VH website remains locked down, with only the classic logo on the home page.
