VIDEO: Stevie Nicks makes history with Rock Hall induction
Stevie Nicks made history at the Barclays Center in New York on March 29 by becoming the first woman inducted twice into the Rock And Roll hall Of Fame.
Previously honored as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, Nicks re-entered the music industry institution as part of the class of 2019 alongside Def Leppard, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies.
Following an introduction by One Direction singer Harry Styles, Rolling Stone reports Nicks delivered a rousing speech of her own.
“Thank you for this, for being the first girl in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – twice!,” began the rocker before rambling on about her days joining Fleetwood Mac, to working with Prince, to secretly planning her 1981 solo album debut, “Bella Donna”, with help from friend Paul Fishkin. “We went to Mr. Doug Morris at Atlantic [Records], my hero. I said, ‘So Doug, what I want to do is I want to make a Tom Petty album, straight up rock and roll. I have two great girl singers, Laurie and Sharon that are amazing, and we’re going to be Crosby, Stills & Nash. I’m going to be Stills and they’re going to be Nash and Crosby.’”
“Bella Donna” topped the US Billboard 200, produced a pair of US Top 10 hits (“Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and “Leather And Lace”), and went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the country.
Nicks is thrilled to share advice to fellow female performers about the trail she has blazed, the lessons she has learned, and how the next generation can follow her lead.
“This is a hard thing to do,” she tells the crowd. “But I know there’s somebody out there that will be able to do it because I’m going to give you all the directions and I’ll do enough interviews and say what to do.”
Wrapping things up with a series of thanks to her music industry associates, Nicks returned to the stage with her band for a four-song run of hits that included 1983’s “Stand Back”, and three tunes from “Bella Donna”: “Leather And Lace” with guest Don Henley, “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” with Styles, and the set-closer, “Edge Of Seventeen.”
In sync with the Rock Hall induction, Nicks has just released the first of two career retrospectives – the single disc “Stand Back” – while an expanded 3-disc, 50-song version entitled “Stand Back: 1981-2017” will surface on April 19.
Nicks and Fleetwood Mac are currently playing dates on a North American tour that will wrap up in Calgary, AB on April 15.

VIDEO: Def Leppard inducted into 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

Def Leppard were inducted into the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame during a March 29 ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York, and video from the event is streaming online.
“Everything we do, we do for our fans,” posted the band - who won the Fan Ballot last fall with more than half a million votes – before the show. “Thank you all so much for helping us get here.”
Queen guitarist and longtime friend Brian May delivered the induction speech for the lineup of singer Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen, who were recognized alongside founding member Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark.
With 11 studio albums to their credit, Def Leppard have sold more than 100 million records worldwide since the release of their 1980 debut, “On Through The Night.”
The band also has the rare distincton of earning two diamond-selling albums (1983’s “Pyromania” and 1987’s “Hysteria”) for US sales of more than 10 million copies each.
"Those songs we've written over the years were always our main priority,” Elliott told the crowd, “and although there seemed to be a looming sense of tragedy around every corner, we just wouldn't let it in. But it's true: it did seem that every time we made some musical headway, life would knock us back down somewhat. 'Pyromania' is a raging success… then Rick has a life-changing accident. He survived it and came out the other side stronger. 'Hysteria' gave us the global success that we'd always craved… and then we lost Steve.
“But we survived and came out the other side stronger people. And that's the way it's always played out throughout our career. So let's face facts here: if alcoholism, car crashes and cancer couldn’t kill us, the nineties had no chance."
Following the acceptance speech, Def Leppard took to center stage to perform the title track to “Hysteria”, “Rock Of Ages” and “Photogragh” from “Pyromania”, and their 1987 smash “Pour Some Sugar On Me.”
On a night when Def Leppard were inducted int the Rock Hall alongside Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies, the UK rockers closed out the evening with a performance of the Mott The Hoople classic “All The Young Dudes” – written by David Bowie – during an all-star jam that included May, Ian Hunter, the Zombies’ Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, Steven Van Zandt and The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs.
Def Leppard will begin their 2019 live schedule at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6 as part of a summer trek across Europe.

Mick Jagger health issue postpones Rolling Stones North American tour
A health issue affecting Mick Jagger has forced the postponement of The Rolling Stones' 2019 No Filter tour of North America.
The group issued a statement on Saturday saying the singer “has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”
“I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets, I really hate letting you down like this,” says Jagger. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on the road as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”
The Rolling Stones were scheduled to begin the 2019 series (see dates below) at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL on April 20.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets to shows,” adds the band, “but wish to reassure fans to hold onto these existing tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced shortly.”
On April 19, The Rolling Stones will release a new best-of collection, “Honk.”
Available in multiple versions – including single-CD and 2LP editions featuring 20 songs, and a deluxe 3CD/4LP set with 46 tracks – the package will deliver the biggest hits and classic cuts from every one of the group’s studio albums from 1971 to 2016.
Among the classics featured on “Honk” are the group’s eight Top 10 singles: “Brown Sugar”, “Tumbling Dice”, “Angie”, “It’s Only Rock’n’Roll (But I Like It)”, “Fool To Cry”, “Miss You”, “Emotional Rescue” and “Start Me Up.”
The 3CD/4LP Deluxe Editions compile 36 studio tunes over two discs, with a third featuring 10 live tracks recorded during the band’s more recent sold-out tours – some with special guests including Dave Grohl (“Bitch”), Brad Paisley (“Dead Flowers”), Ed Sheeran (“Beast Of Burden”) and Florence + The Machine singer Florence Welch, who can be heard performing “Wild Horses” from the group’s May 2018 London show as the project’s first preview.

VIDEO: Judas Priest deliver tour debut of 1982 classic at Download Japan

Judas Priest delivered the “Firepower” tour debut of their 1982 classic, “Devil’s Child”, during a March 21 appearance at the Download Festival in Japan.
The tune was the closing track on the band’s eighth studio album, “Screaming For Vengeance”, which peaked at No. 17 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 2 million in the country and 5 million worldwide.
Judas Priest topped the bill at Download Japan – which also saw appearances by Slayer, Ghost, Anthrax, Sum 41 and more – after a recent cancellation by Ozzy Osbourne while he continues to recover from a series of health issues.
Produced by Tom Allom and Andy Sneap, ”Firepower” earned the group their highest-charting US album with its debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 last spring.
Judas Priest will resume their 2019 live schedule with a two-month spring North American series that will begin in Hollywood, FL on May 3.

VIDEO: Metallica perform 1984 classic in rare Indianapolis show
Metallica are streaming official video of a performance the 1984 classic, “Fight Fire With Fire”, from a March 11 show at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.
The tune was the opening track from the band’s second album, “Ride The Lightning”, which peaked at No. 48 on the Billboard 200 on its way to US sales of more than 6 million copies.
The recent concert marked Metallica’s first show in the Indiana capital in 10 years, and second-last performance before wrapping up the North American arena leg of the WordWired tour.
Launched in the fall of 2016 in support of their tenth album, “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”, the trek has grossed more than a quarter of a billion dollars worldwide to date.
Metallica will resume their live schedule later this spring with a summer series of shows in Europe.
“Kicking off May 1 in Lisbon, Portugal,” says the band, “the tour will visit 25 cities across 20 countries including many cities we did not stop in on the most recent excursion: Milan, Zürich, Dublin, Berlin, Moscow, Warsaw, Bucharest, Göteborg and Brussels (first time since 1988!) are all on the itinerary this summer. We also have three firsts (go figure!) with shows in Trondheim Norway, Hämeenlinna Finland, and Tartu, Estonia.
“Joining us for the festivities will be Ghost and Bokassa.”
“This tour also marks the appearance of another first in Europe with the Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket, a wildly popular addition to our menu of options for the North American tour,” adds the group. “The Black Ticket is your one-stop shop; a single ticket that allows you Golden Circle access to any Metallica show on the 2019 European tour. Pick your city from A(msterdam) to Z(ürich), make a reservation online no less than 48 hours before the gig and you're in!”

Journey: Neal Schon and his wife sue Live Nation over alleged assault
Guitarist Neal Schon and his wife, Micheale, have filed a lawsuit against concert promoters Live Nation over claims that she was violently assaulted by a security guard at a Journey show in Indiana two years ago.
The alleged incident – which the couple says took place at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN on March 14, 2017 – reportedly occurring during the confetti drop following Journey's performance of "Don't Stop Believin’."
While in the pit in front of the stage to take photos, a security guard is alleged to have confronted Michaele with force in an attempt to clear the area, despite her activity in the space throughout the show.
"Every year, for nearly a decade now, I've been at every show with my husband,” explains Michaele, “and I take video footage and pictures – behind the scenes, the shows, and even our days off – that we share with friends and fans around the world. The fans are so kind and thank me for the videos of Neal and Journey and all of our adventures.
"Prior to this show, as with every night, I was introduced to the manager and security, and proceded to film from the moment the show started and throughout. I walked all over in front of and around the stage without incident. Then, when the confetti dropped and I was recording the stage, I was suddenly attacked and shoved into the P.A. Journey security guards came to my assistance, once seeing the attack.”
“Journey's security reviewed the venue's security tape,” she continues, “and the entire incident was recorded; the approach, attack, security coming to help me, everything. At the end of the tape, you see one of the security guards position him against the barrier and later remove him from Neal's protected area while I'm running off because I did break down crying.
"Since going public, everyone has been asking, why did it take two years? That's simple: management told us to not worry, to not say anything, and that they would take care of it. For over a year, we were strung along believing that it was being pursued, with [former Live Nation executive chairman] Irving [Azoff] telling us repeatedly that he had it under control. Then the tragedy of my mother's injury and subsequent entrapment in a horrific situation consumed our lives. For the next 18 months, we were fighting to save my mother's life from the corrupt Virginia elder care system; that was our focus and we succeeded. We restored her life."
The alleged incident was captured on video, but the couple says that footage later provided by the venue shows a 20-second gap from the moment of the assault to the confrontation of an ESG staff by Journey's security and fast retreat off camera by Michaele (see video below).
"After 50 years of performing professionally, I have never seen anything like this before,” says Schon. “My wife has toured with me for every show for nearly a decade and now this happens. It was definitely intentional that they targeted my wife and I to inflict pain, fear, and hurt as a way to scare her. What is even worse is that I don't believe anyone believed that my wife was seriously, mentally or physically, harmed by this incident, even though she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis since 1993. Then Irving Azoff suggested we go to his friend, a doctor in L.A. Dr. Hart did testing on Michaele and said he could definitely see the newly developed lesions on her brain, which were due to the trauma from the attack that she sustained. This wasn't a momentary event, it's something that will follow her."
"What's even more compelling,” he adds, “is that our head security guard, Leo, removed the assailant and then informed me when I got off stage. I was in disbelief and instructed Leo to get the tape from the venue and watch it. He said he did and it was all there, yet when we got it, there were clearly 20 seconds edited out. When I wrote back, I asked where those 20 seconds of footage went, I was told, 'Oh, that must've been a glitch.' But there's no other glitch in the whole hour-and-a-half performance. Just right when the incident happened. It was obviously edited, as anyone can see."
Named in the suit are Live Nation Entertainment, Inc and Live Nation Worldwide, Inc.
Page Six reports the Schons are suing for assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, claiming that the guard’s behavior caused Michaele “mental anguish, mental trauma, humiliation, mortification, fright and indignity,” while also claiming that his actions triggered a pre-existing health condition.
In a separate filing, the venue has denied all of the allegations, while the security guard filed his own papers, claiming that Michaele “attempted to enter a restricted area for reasons unknown” but he did not attack her.
The case is still ongoing with a hearing set for November.
On March 29, Journey will release "Live In Japan 2017: Escape + Frontiers", which captures a special performance at the famed Budokan in Tokyo.

Jimmy Page to publish new book The Anthology
Jimmy Page will publish a new book entitled “The Anthology” later this year via Genesis Publications.
This is British publishing company's second book with the Led Zeppelin legend, following the 2010 sell-out success of the official signed limited edition, "Jimmy Page By Jimmy Page", which was Genesis's fastest limited-edition title to sell out.
Complete details on “The Anthology” are forthcoming.
The rocker’s 2010 book was a photographic autobiography and visual history of Page's career as one of the world's most iconic guitar players; he personally sifted through thousands of prints to determine the final selection of images, arranging the content into its narrative sequence and annotating and reviewing the design to arrive at the finished book.
Page and Led Zeppelin kicked of their 50th anniversary campaign last fall with the release of the remastered soundtrack to the concert film, “The Song Remains The Same”, and followed it up with their first and only official book, “Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin.”
Last month, the band launched a 50th anniversary playlist program that gives fans the ability to create their own or enjoy tracks selected by fellow rockers like Jack White and Royal Blood.
Using the Led Zeppelin Playlist Generator, visitors can build a playlist using any track from the band’s catalog, including all their studio and live albums plus the deluxe editions released over the last few years.
Once complete, the Generator will then create custom, personalized cover art in the famous Zeppelin font to accompany the playlist and allow fans to share it via social media.

VIDEO: Def Leppard perform on Good Morning America
Def Leppard performed their 1987 smash, “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, during a March 27 appearance on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America ahead of their induction into the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this Friday.
The band – who won the Fan Ballot with more than half a million votes – will be honored alongside Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies.
“It’s wonderful,” says singer Joe Elliott of the upcoming event. “It was the biggest fan vote of all time, apparently, so for the kids it meant so much…so, of course, that means a lot more to us, as well.”
The UK rockers will be inducted by Queen guitarist Brian May at the 34th annual ceremony; despite being eligible since 2005, Def Leppard are gaining entry on their first ballot consideration - to qualify for recognition, an individual artist or band must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
Rock Hall ballots were sent to an international voting body of more than 1,000 artists, including current living Inductees, historians and members of the music industry. Factors such as an artist’s musical influence on other artists, length and depth of career and the body of work, innovation and superiority in style and technique are taken into consideration.
The 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at the Barclays Center in New York on March 29 and recorded for later airing by HBO.

VIDEO: David Gilmour previews guitar exhibition ahead of auction
David Gilmour is streaming a video preview of a new exhibition of his guitar collection that opened in London this week ahead of an auction in New York this June.
Hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Matt Everitt, the footage gives viewers an advance look at the event at Christie’s auctioneers in the UK capital, which runs from March 27-31 and is free to the public with reserved tickets available at christies.com.
The exhibition – which will also be seen in Beverly Hills, CA (May 7-11) and New York City (June 14-19) – gives fans a look at more than 120 guitars owned by the Pink Floyd legend ahead of a June 20 auction of some of his personal collection.
Not only the largest and most comprehensive sale of guitars ever offered at auction, the collection details the musical history of one of the world’s most influential guitarists and the iconic Fender Stratocaster the rocker played on classic 1970 Pink Floyd albums “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Animals” and “The Wall.”
All proceeds from the Christie’s auction will benefit charitable causes.
"These guitars have been very good to me and many of them have given me pieces of music over the years,” Gilmour explains. “They have paid for themselves many times over, but it's now time that they moved on. Guitars were made to be played and it is my wish that wherever they end up, they continue to give their owners the gift of music.
“By auctioning these guitars, I hope that I can give some help where it is really needed and through my charitable foundation do some good in this world. It will be a wrench to see them go and perhaps one day I'll have to track one or two of them down and buy them back!"

VIDEO: Def Leppard perform David Bowie and classic hit on The Howard Stern Show

Def Leppard performed the 1972 David Bowie classic, “Ziggy Stardust”, and their 1987 smash, “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, during a March 26 appearance on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.
The band were on hand to chat about their March 29 induction into the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at New York’s Barclays Center, where they’ll be honored alongside Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies.
Despite selling more than 100 million albums and being eligible for entry since 2005, Def Leppard – who won the Fan Ballot with more than half a million votes – never really gave much thought or cared much about the Rock Hall.
“Yes, we do now,” laughed singer Joe Elliott. “Now that we’ve been nominated and inducted and chosen, yes, we care.”
“In fairness,” he continued, “before the fan vote, I think it was a very elitist thing, which is why we kind of shied away … if you weren’t Lou Reed or R.E.M. or Loudon Wainwright III … no, no, they didn’t want us.”
“It’s the same as the Grammys,” added guitarist Phil Collen. “When we had two diamond albums – two 10-times platinum albums – there was no category for us.”
The UK outfit will be inducted by longtime friend and Queen guitarist Brian May.
“Queen is the blueprint for Def Leppard, really,” shared Collen.
The group shared several stories with Stern during the session, including Elliott’s personal introduction to Bowie by Bono; the singer’s love of Mott The Hoople; sharing the stage with the legends at the 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, drummer Rick Allen’s comeback from a 1984 car accident that resulted in the loss of his left arm; and coming of age during the late 1960s/early 1970s when rare media broadcasts of rock music transitioned from black and white to the era of color television.
“We saw Gerry And The Pacemakers or Herman's Hermits and Tom Jones in black-and-white,” recalled Elliott, “and then we saw Bowie and Slade and T. Rex in color with all this glittery stuff. And it was mind-blowing – it was an absolute, you know, sensory overload on your eyes.”
Def Leppard will begin their 2019 live schedule at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6 as part of a summer trek across Europe before launching a Canadian tour in July and their second Las Vegas residency in August.

Journey are streaming performance video of their 1981 smash, “Don’t Stop Believin’”, as the latest preview to the forthcoming package, "Live In Japan 2017: Escape + Frontiers."
The second single from “Escape” was a US Top 10 hit and went on to become the group’s signature song worldwide.

Foo Fighters announce Latin American dates
The Foo Fighters have announced a pair of concert dates in Latin America.
“Colombia! Costa Rica! Are you ready?” posted the band on social media, with details about fall events in Colombia and Costa Rica.
Still touring behind their 2017 album, “Concrete And Gold”, the group will perform at The Estadio Nemesio Camacho in Bogota, Colombia on October 1, alongside guests Weezer and Tenacious D, while Weezer will also join the Foos for an October 4 appearance at Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Ahead of the fall dates, all three bands will perform at the 2019 Rock In Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 28.
Presales for both shows begin Wednesday, March 27 at 10 am local time (Code: FFSA2019), with general public tickets going on sale Saturday, March 30 at 10 am local time.
The Foo Fighters will resume their 2019 live schedule in May, including a pair of shows in New Orleans at the recently-opened Fillmore which were to happen in February but rescheduled after Dave Grohl underwent arm surgery to fix a long-term issue.
The group will launch a summer series of shows in Europe – including several festival gigs – with a pair of dates in Pula, Croatia in mid-June.

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson expand North American tour

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have expanded their summer North American “Twins Of Evil” tour with the addition of two new concert dates.
Set to begin July 9 in Baltimore, MD, the six-week co-headlining series will now include an August 2 stop at the Moda Center in Portland, OR and an August 3 show at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA.
Presales are underway now for both dates, with general public tickets going on sale Friday, March 29 @ 10:00 am PDT.
Originally announced last month, the summer trek features appearances at two festivals in Wisconsin, including Rock USA in Oshkosh and Rock Fest in Cadott.
In sync with the launch of the pair’s 2018 tour, Zombie and Manson released their own version of The Beatles 1968 classic, “Helter Skelter.”
“We had been talking about doing something together for these shows, that he should come onstage during my set and we’d do a song,” revealed Zombie last summer, “But we couldn’t think of what song. After we talked, later that night I was home and I just thought, The obvious song is ‘Helter Skelter’… It’s so obvious that neither one of us thought of it!
“And then I figured, well, rather than us just doing it onstage, why don’t we take it one step further and record it and put a new spin on it? That way, rather than just doing some impromptu jam together, now the fans will go, ‘Oh, there’s the song I’ve already heard, and now they’re doing it.’”
Ahead of the summer tour, Zombie will play a series of US dates in May before a month-long run of Europe – including an appearance at the UK’s Download Festival.

Metallica announce exclusive fan club show with San Francisco Symphony
Following news of a show with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to open the new Chase Center in San Francisco, CA on September 6, Metallica have announced an exclusive second S&M2 concert at the venue for fan club members on September 8.
In honor of the 20th Anniversary of the pairing’s 1999 live performance recording “S&M”, the two nights will mark the inaugural events at the city’s new arena and future home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
"Wow... that’s all we have to say!,” says Metallica. “The response from the ‘Tallica fan universe to the announcement of our show with the San Francisco Symphony blew us away, in fact, it was completely and totally overwhelming - thank you! However, we also understand that for a great number of you, it brought frustration and disappointment as the supply of tickets fell way short of demand.
"We’ve heard you and we’ve learned from our missteps with this particular ticket on sale. We’re working to make this right as we are excited to announce that a second show has been added at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday, September 8th. First order of business: No public on sale this time! Tickets for the second S&M² show will be available exclusively to Fifth Members.”
"The second show gives us a chance to celebrate in a unique and very special way with all of you, the die-hard Fifth Members,” continues the band. “We’re all huddled at Metallica HQ now working out a plan to give every one of you the most fair and equal chance at obtaining tickets (and to do everything possible to keep the bots from getting any).
"Under the full disclosure umbrella, due to contractual obligations with the Chase Center there will be a small number of tickets available to Golden State Warriors season ticket holders, but the rest of the house will be all of you and only you... just the Metallica Fan Club family. This is going to take a little time to get as close to foolproof as we can get it, so please sit tight for a few more days and we’ll be back with more details.
"Thank you for all your comments, suggestions and most of all your support and patience! Stay tuned."
Currently on a break following the completion of the North Americna arena leg of the WordWired tour, Metallica will resume the series with shows in Europe starting in May.

VIDEO: John Fogerty rocks CCR classics with Billy Joel in New York

John Fogerty joined Billy Joel at his March 21st show at New York’s Madison Square Garden to perform a pair of Creedence Clearwater Revival classics, and video from the show is streaming online.
Rolling Stone reports Joel was eleven songs into his set when he stopped to briefly address the crowd.
“Coming out to do a song or two with us,” said Joel, “please welcome John Fogerty!”
With that, Fogerty hit the stage running as Joel’s band kicked into CCR’s 1970 hit, “Up Around The Bend”, before delivering the 1969 classic, “Fortunate Son.”
It’s the first time that Fogerty has guested with Joel at this Madison Square Garden residency, where he’s played with everyone from Miley Cyrus and Paul Simon to John Mayer, Steve Miller, Tony Bennett and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson.
Joel turns 70 on May 9 and he’ll celebrate the occasion with a show at MSG.
Fogerty, meanwhile, will resume his residency at Wynn in Las Vegas on April 10; he’ll also appear as one of the returning artists to play the Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair in Watkins Glen, NY this summer.
“I don’t expect it to be the same,” said Fogerty during the event’s press conference. “The mood in the country is different, similar in many respects, but different. I’m very glad that I’m able to be here 50 years later celebrating it. I hope to have a great time.
“I’m going to be playing most of the same songs that I played then. I’ve had a few more songs since then. But I think culturally, for me, it resonates because it was such a watershed moment in the time of my generation.”
